Comfortable House Boat with Boston Skyline Views

5 of 5
We were headed to Boston to see The Blue Man Group and wanted to stay for the weekend. We always take our dog with us and this time I thought we would try something different than the hotel we normally stay at. I am so glad we did! The Blue Pearl was wonderful, the views amazing (especially the Boston skyline at night). The house boat was perfect for us, the bed VERY comfortable, and the interior clean and nicely decorated. Remember you are on a boat, so there is movement, for us this meant a great nights sleep. If you do get motion sickness, take the over the counter medicine or wear the bands, it is worth it! The plane noise did bother us at all, nor did it bother our dog. The town of Winthrop was a pleasant surprise! What a great town for walking around! We enjoyed walking through town and going to the local park. We devoured our lobster rolls from Bell Isle Seafood on the deck of The Blue Pearl watching the planes, (we indulged for both our lunches… Yummy!) Our first night we had dinner at Osaka Lucky Garden, delicious Chinese and sushi! We went to dinner in Boston, Maggiano's Little Italy (Delish!) the next night. It is a short cab ride into the city, so you do not miss anything by staying here. Viking cab service was great, prompt, on time, and very friendly drivers! We had brunch at the Winthrop Arms Hotel and Restaurant, very tasty! We were sad to have our weekend end as we met so many nice people on the dock and heard about so many nice restaurants to check out right in Winthrop. Our time was too short!! We can't wait to go back!!

Great for a group

5 of 5
My group of 5 stayed on the White Elephant for 5 nights and had a great stay. It was within walking distance of the Boston Common, grocery store, many shops and amazing restaurants. The boat was as expected, clean, great views and very spacious in comparison to a hotel room. We chose the boat because the cost was comparable to a hotel room and because it would allow our group to be together more versus each having a hotel room. The day we arrived J.J. gave us an orientation of the boat. Even though he was extremely busy as he had other guests arriving he answered all our questions relating to the city and things to do. While we had a minor issue with the hot water J.J. was right on it and had it repaired promptly. He and I talked and texted multiple times during our stay. He was always available for questions. He was a great asset to us!! I plan on returning to Boston for the 2017 marathon and the White Elephant will be at the top of my list for accommodations.

Better than a hotel!!

5 of 5
We had a fabulous stay on Capricornus in Boston. This sort of venue was right up our alley for a memorable experience. It was a surprise I arranged for my husband's birthday and blew any gift I could have gotten him out of the water (excuse the pun). We walked three blocks to Mamma Maria's in the North End for dinner, went for a morning run on the HarborWalk and enjoyed breakfast on the roof deck overlooking Boston Harbor. Many thanks to Marcia, John and especially Justin for pulling this off!!
