My wife and I stayed for a week with visits from family. Wake up to beautiful harbor scenes, ocean breezes, salt air & watch relaxing harbor activity from deck. Property is clean & just right for four people, has quasi nautical feel, first floor just steps away from water with room for relaxed meals & second floor full of light & expansive view of inner harbor & rustic buildings. Changes in light are mesmerizing. Mary Kay is always available yet respects your privacy. Space is surprisingly quiet even with shoppers passing by. Early mornings and early evenings are special times to roam shops and admire the sights and sounds. Or take a nap, read a book - read four books between the two of us. I am not an avid shopper but worth going in, sometimes twice to see what you missed first time and top it off with ice cream. Shalin Liu Performing Arts Center is full of charm & must see shows. Kathy Mattea was totally enjoyable. Lots of walking paths, rocks to climb and scenic views. Must check out Halibut State Park. The rocks make time stand still. Use to be partial to the Maine coast but this is just as lovely & much closer!
