                                Fabulous, Relaxing Berkshire Getaway

                                5 of 5
This my umpteenth time staying at Colesbrook Manor. I always enjoy myself and feel so at home there with the bubbling brook and the sunlight and the moonlight and the quiet. I have been there alone, with friends and as a couple. In all cases , it was very enjoyable and relaxing. It is a great place to hang out and cook meals together and play scrabble and take walks and go to the many venues in the nearby Berkshires … outdoor activities, Jacob’s Pillow for dance , Tanglewood for music and many museums. This time we even ventured up to North Adams to the Mass MOCA ( Museum of Contemporary Art). Colesbrook is quite the place to act as a wonderful base for exploring the area or simply enjoying the house and surroundings. And they are unique as I think of the place as a hand-made house where you can feel the energy of the earth and the people who built it as well as nature all around. It is a rustic setting and a get away from a lot of the hurry and busyness of the modern world in an authentic way. I recommend staying at Colebrook as a place to re-connect with the earth, the arts and each other. I look forward to my next stay as do all of the friends who have ever visited there with me. Happy Berkshires !

                                A week in paradise....

                                5 of 5
Our extended family has been vacationing on the Vineyard for 20 plus years. This was our first time staying in Vineyard Haven. It was a wonderful experience staying on Hines Point. The house was more than we expected. When we first walked into the house we knew it was going to be a great week. The view is just breathtaking. The house was very beautiful and tastefully decorated. Once we arrived there, there was no reason to leave. We had our own private beach, a gorgeous view, beautiful birds to watch early in the morning, and great walks on Hines Point. Even though we had a full house, there was always space where you could go to have some quiet time. It was perfect. The owner, Mark Galvin, was very easy to work with. He obviously wanted our time there to be wonderful and memorable....and it was!

                                Fantastic Family Reunion

                                5 of 5
"We had a wonderful vacation at this gorgeous rental home in Katama, and I would like to recommend this home highly. Definitely one of our favorite places we have stayed as a family, and the location of the home was ideal for us, as it is a short walk to south beach, or a fun, easy bike ride into Edgartown. One of our favorite things to start our day with was just that, a bike ride into Edgartown for coffee and/or breakfast, and some exercise (many many bikes to choose from, as they were provided with the house). My wife and I loved riding the beach cruisers, although we did give the tandem bike a try too. The home is quite spacious, nicely appointed, and very comfortable, and it accommodated our big group of families, for our mini-reunion of sorts. Plenty of comfortable rooms upstairs and downstairs for adults, with privacy and separation when you needed quiet time (there is a cottage as well, with two more rooms available). At the end of the day, we all ended up in the kitchen/large family room upstairs (which we called the Great Room), which has a very beautiful, and large wooden dining table that could seat us all, and we much appreciated being able to do that without dividing our crew up at dinner time. This is the largest, brightest room in the house and where we all seemed to congregate and had lots of laughs, meals, wine, and even impromptu dance parties that the kids put on! great memories created, although I think I pulled something trying to do an old dance move from long ago.. There is a deck just off of this room which was a good place to relax, or read in the sun, and made it easy for us to watch the kids swim in the pool just below as we prepared meals. The Great Room was our favorite room, although I think my wife's favorite might have been the sauna! Everything we needed was provided with the house, and the owners were very friendly and helpful with the whole process. Great stay, beautiful home, we all definitely want to make a return stay here in summers to come!"
