A Hidden Gem - it doesn't get much better than this

5 of 5
I stayed at the Barn for a week before Labor Day, 2014. I've stayed at a lot of different places in Provincetown - hotels, B&B's, rentals. This property is top of my list. It's super clean and fresh -- no musty smell or manky grandmothery aesthetic. It's really spacious -- the high ceilings, open floor plan, and windows are fantastic -- I've stayed in some shoeboxes in Provincetown but it's hard to find somewhere that is this spacious. The deck looks out to a stunning garden, and you can see the ocean. It's not on the beach, but the way it's set in from the road offers a quiet hidden oasis. The two bedrooms are average size (and have AC), are very comfortable, and one has great views of the ocean--the sheets were high quality (white cotton, high thread count, and I'm a snob when it comes to bed linens). The bathroom is standard and clean, with high quality white fluffy towels. There is a great top of the line gas grill on the deck, and we cooked more than we thought we would. The kitchen has everything you would need. We brought our bikes as the Barn is down in the East End of town, but if you are on foot walking into town isn't far (probably a 10-15 minute walk). It's also really quiet -- so if you want to avoid the noisier parts of Commercial Street this is a great location. We brought our dog and he had a great time, including walks on the beach. Jonathan and Camille were really helpful when we needed anything, and they keep everything ship shape! I'll definitely return to the Barn anytime I'm visiting Provincetown, it's a hidden gem.

Wonderful Place!

We had a lovely stay at Jon and James "Boat House" - my husband, three teenage daughters and myself. Just a 15min walk or 5min bike ride to the center of Provincetown, the condo is located on Commercial Street, convenient to everything but on the quiet end of the street. And what a glorious spot! At high tide the water is at your doorstep, and at low tide, a mile of tidal flat lies before you with the most glorious sunsets you've ever seen. There's a large private porch with table and chairs to sit and relax. Your choice of the beach at your back door or a short drive to the National Seashore and all it has to offer. The condo itself had floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water and a well equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need. We loved the antique piano and wonderful art collection - and my 14 yr. old couldn't be happier than when she claimed the loft bedroom for herself. It was like a fort! My husband and I were appreciative of the large, private master bedroom with a view and half bath - perfect! We would recommend "The Boat House" to anyone (and have)! Jon and James were easy to work with, making the whole process simple and easy.

Awesome location, beautiful rental

5 of 5
A group of five friends (including me) came down to stay the weekend before Memorial Day. This unit is in a prime location for access to downtown and Commercial St. With direct access to the beach and a dedicated parking spot, you can't beat it! The unit was clean, in better shape than it looked in the pictures and was a pleasure to stay at. Kitchen is well appointed with the necessities and lots of sheets and towels were available! I'd definitely come back again soon.
