Our Plymouth Ma Family Trip 2014

5 of 5
Our 2014 summer family trip to Plymouth, Ma was spent in this gorgeous home! I cannot even begin to tell you how beautiful this home is, fully stocked with everything you need, super clean and comfy beds! There were 10 of us total (4 were children) and the home was perfect for all of us. The private beach, expansive gourmet kitchen, patio and outdoor kitchen were perfect along with the incredible movie room. The beach is great for children as the waves are minimal and a perfect quiet spot to relax. The water is so clean and clear. The sunset from the two bedrooms facing the ocean are exquisite and was one of my favorite parts of the day. The fire pit was a huge hit for the kiddos as they enjoyed roasting marshmallows. The owner is wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. What I loved the most was you don't need to bring a thing! The kitchen is stocked with every dish known to man-kind, luxury bed linens, bath towels, beach towels and beach chairs. The home is very tastefully decorate featuring beautiful coastal decor and furnishings. The home is in a great location close to all the tourist spots, fabulous restaurants and local attractions. We will definitely be back and thanks so much Caroline for everything!

Perfect. Better than anticipated.

5 of 5
We had two families of 4 with kids 12,11,9 and 3. This house was perfect for us. The kids had plenty of room in the house not to annoy the adults too much and they played on the beach for many hours every day. The adults didn't even have to physically be on the beach either because the deck overlooking the beach. The views from the deck and the windows is amazing - especially in the morning and night. This beach is a great beach. Priscilla beach to the north is rocky and south of White Horse is rocky too all the way down to Cape pretty much. This beach is fine powder, then it's a band of 6 feet of small rocks and then beautifully flat rockless sand at low tide. Little sand bars and tidal pools provide tons of fun for kids and everyone else. Just don't let the secret out to the people sitting in traffic toward the Cape. The washer and dryer are high capacity and high efficiency washers. This was a huge plus because we washed towels and bathing suits daily. I felt like the beds were comfortable enough too. Nobody complained about them. Kitchen was adequate. Only complaint is it could use a baking sheet and large frying pan. It has a split dishwasher, which is great though. You don't have to wait to fill up a big one. You can run smaller batches at the same time or independently. It has AC units in the rooms but we didn't use them. If you open the windows in the back and the front and keep the bedroom doors open, the breeze will keep you cool. The house has tons of windows with screens. One thing of note. You have to walk through deep powder sand to get to and from the house to the main road. Then a block to a chained assigned parking lot to your car. Not horrible, but when you pack enough for a week and then go shopping, you need to lug all that stuff through the sand every time. One of those beach buggy things is a life saver. Keep this in mind if you have any disabilities. In summary, this is one of the best affordable beach houses (if you can split the cost 2+ ways) in Plymouth. I stay in the area every year and none have been like this. Property owner is nice, responsive and organized as well. He sent my deposit refund back within a week and answered all my questions. Visit the Lobster Pound (fresh lobster, fish, etc to cook) and Gellars (ice cream) in Manomet. Take a walk from Brewster Gardens to the wharf (lots of stuff on the way) and visit The Cabby Shack (cooked seafood and #1 chowdah) in Plymouth.
