Wonderful Summer Cottage!

5 of 5
My husband & I spent five weeks at this wonderful cottage. It was just as described. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we could want, including a beach pass. The owner lives locally and is very helpful if anything is needed. The only thing I would suggest is to install a hook & eye lock for the bathroom door. This central location couldn't be better. We walked to the village for a free concert on the library lawn weekly. You can also walk to Joshua's Pond, or to Wimpy's for lunch. I recommend the shrimp appetizer! We already booked our stay for next summer! Mary

Beautiful and spacious Osterville/Cape home

5 of 5
A great home for a wonderful vacation. Located in the town of Osterville, the home is a short walk to the downtown area of shops, restaurants and stores. Fancy's market has a nice little selection of groceries, wine and beer. Better yet, order some sandwiches and deli salads to take home or on a picnic. You also have access to the nearby resident beach that is a long walk or short ride from the home. Hyannis is a very scenic 10 minute drive . Plenty of shops and restaurants there to explore, The home is very comfortable for a larger group, There is a nice and spacious family/living room at the front of the house and a separate television room off the large dining room. The five bedrooms were perfect for a varied crowd. My parents stayed in the separate second master. Our daughter attends college in Boston so she had two friends come down and stay with us on separate days. We cooked in two nights, which was a breeze since the kitchen is well stocked with just about any pot, pan or utensil you need. The outdoor grill was great and is hooked up to city gas. It was clean and the grill utensils were new. Great fire pit outside and the s'mores couldn't have been better. Everyone of our group loved the experience; from 12 to 74. As for the owners, Kristen and Rich, they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Everything was as promised. I mentioned to Kristen that we were there to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. The first thing we see as we all enter the Kitchen is a bouquet of flowers with a happy birthday note for our daughter. First class all the way. I recommend a stay here if you have a chance. If I get a chance to go back to the Cape, that's where I'll be.

Great People; Great Place

5 of 5
The place is exactly as described; a bright, spacious garden apartment with the owners above. Plenty of room for a family of five. Well-appointed kitchen. Appliances. Right behind the main Osterville strip with Fancy's Market and boutique shops. Not too far from the beaches and they included use of a beach pass in the rental. The best feature by far was the ownership. Petra and Carl purchased last year and just remodeled and we were their first renters. They were chock-full of great advice and they were quick to get us anything they or we had forgotten. At least six different things that our family did on this vacation we wouldn't have known to do if not for their advice. Really wonderful people. We called pretty last minute (Monday) for off-schedule dates that happened to fit when they had a vacancy (Friday to Wednesday) and they were willing to accommodate. We squeezed a lot into those days: Dowses Beach, Craigsville Beach, Hyannis, MIT, Harvard, relatives in Cambridge, Marconi Beach, Provincetown, Herring Cove Beach, Race Point Beach, Chatham Fisheries, Chatham Town, Chatham Lighthouse Beach, Orchard House (Concord), Minuteman Park (Lexington). Lots of seafood. Lots of really good ice cream. Didn't have time for whale watching or for a trip to one of the islands. Maybe next time. The place has a great location. Not far from the beach and easy access to the rest of the cape, but Cambridge/Boston still accessible for day trips (important to us). It has room for a family of five to spread out. Full kitchen with everything new. Internet, TV (we hooked up our laptop to the TV with our own HDMI to connect to Netflix), washer dryer and air hockey. I'd get up, get showered and get dressed to hit Fancy's Market when it opened to get baked goods and coffee for my wife. Kids play air hockey while waiting their turn for the shower. We'd hit the road by 9 to visit the beaches and towns. Come back exhausted in the evening, put the beach stuff in the washer, relax with a movie and get ready for the next day. Family memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks Nosenzos!
