Cozy and Comfortable

5 of 5
We rented the downstairs of this 2 apt. rental. It is in the heart of Oak Bluffs, 1 block away from Circuit Avenue ( the tourist block). Easy walking distance to some wonderful restaurants and the harbor and steamship ferries. Back Door Donuts less than a block down the street. The apartment is very well stocked, spices, cooking supplies, linens, beach towels, umbrellas and chairs, and a small hot tub on the side of the house you can use. Bed comfortable! Loved having a washer and dryer to use on site. Reasonably priced. Sharon is lovely and attentive to all your needs, has provided great information of things to do and places to eat. We had a lovely, relaxing 8 days in the Vineyard using this as our home base. We brought out car over on the ferry and were able to get anywhere we desired, along with renting bikes down the street made for easy access to the Island. We loved eating at Brick Cellars and Chilmarks chocolates if you have transportation is not to be missed! The Bite was delicious along with Lobster Rolls at the fish shacks. Would definitely recommend this to friends and relatives.

Warm and Spacious

5 of 5
The house was warm, spacious and comfortable. Our family of 8 - 3 children, 5 adults - had plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The house was well equipped with what we needed from kitchen supplies to beach supplies. The house faces a large meadow where my 11 year old nephew delighted in flying his kite! And he delighted in having his own loft bedroom. We were close to downtown Oak Bluffs and the beach. The owner was always attentive and prompt with my questions and procedures for renting the house. Would recommend for a family vacation!

Perfect

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here with our 2-year-old son and our dog. This was the perfect house for us: bright, clean, well-maintained and very child-friendly (in that there was no clutter and we didn't have to do any childproofing). There were plenty of extra linens and towels available and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils. There is an air conditioner downstairs in the living area and another A/C in the twin bedroom, but none in the master; fortunately, it has really large windows and it cools down at night, so we didn't really need it. The twin bedroom also has no dresser but it has a large closet. Some minor quirks to note: The deck didn't seem to have lighting at night (besides decorative strings of lights); the bathroom is downstairs while the bedrooms are upstairs (in case you have young kids who, like me, get up to pee in the middle of the night); and the yard is not fenced in (in case you have a wandering dog). In our case, the couple staying in the other house on the property also had a dog with them, so our dogs got to play together in the yard :) (But warning: Beware of skunks! Our poor dog found out the hard way!) Tony's Market, which is just a few blocks away, is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., which was helpful for after-hours grocery needs (like the night our dog got skunked). The house is a very short walk into downtown Oak Bluffs. Each day we looked forward to getting out and about and then returning to the house and relaxing on the deck while our son napped. When it was time to go home, our son said, "No, THIS my house." Everything about the house was lovely and we all wish we could have stayed forever!
