If you are looking for a house that is reminiscent of what it would be like to live on Cape Cod, this one is great. It resides in a quiet, small neighborhood close to the beach. We have 2 children, 3 & 6. It was so easy to walk down to either sandy area on the bay so the kids could play in the water, chase crabs and find seashells. No commitment of packing up the car and schlepping stuff to the beach, but enough to satisfy them.
The 2 kayaks were a wonderful added benefit, which we enjoyed almost every other day. We rowed all the way down to a pretty secluded beach area within Waquoit Bay. Since it’s the bay and not the ocean, the kids were able to explore on the sand bars and play in the warm, calm waters.
The house itself was spacious, laid out well, comfortable and the outdoor shower was convenient for getting all the sand off before coming into the house.
Our contact Leanne, was always available and helpful with ideas of places to go, eat, park, etc.
The house is within a 3 minute drive to Popponesset Marketplace, which is a quaint, crushed shell marketplace with shops, restaurants, the famed Raw Bar, and entertainment on evening summer nights.
