Last October, my husband and I and another couple spent a delightful weekend in these beautiful and comfortable accommodations. While our host, Gerard, was leading us through his home to acquaint us with the layout, features and amenities of the rooms that he so lovingly renovated, all four of us were thinking that his home could be featured in Home and Garden magazine. Each room was neat and clean, clutter-free, well-appointed and uniquely decorated. It was clear that even before the recent renovations, the property had received years of tender, loving care.
The two upstairs bedrooms each included baths en suite, and the spacious showers featured lovely tile work. The heated floors in the bathrooms were a treat, too. Since the accommodations are in a quiet neighborhood, and because the beds are so comfortable, sleep came easily. Although we didn't use the kitchen, it was evident from all the modern appliances and convenient work areas that even the pickiest chef would feel right at home here. It was too cool in October to use the front porch that opens up from the kitchen, but in warmer weather, it would be delightful for dining and just relaxing.
The location was perfect for us. From the house, it's a short walk into town and not much farther to the trail head at Kennedy Park where there are miles of hiking trails. Many cultural, historical and botanical sights in the area are just a short drive from Lenox, so it was easy to visit all of them on our list.
We would definitely stay at this lovely home again.
