Lovely home; perfect location and views!

5 of 5
This was a great house and a wonderful vacation spot - it's a lovely home, up to date and clean. It was spacious with more than enough space for an extended family vacation. Plenty of bathrooms and showers as well (including an outdoor shower, which was convenient). The views were perfect from the back porch and there was a private walkway in the backyard to a private sandy beach. The positives outweighed the negatives by a wide margin, but to be objective, I will offer a couple of critiques. The minor critiques: there was only one refrigerator in the kitchen, so for an extended family (especially with kids), it can get filled up pretty easily - but we were fine (just can't put all the drinks in at once). Also, there were several window unit A/C's, even though they weren't really needed our week. However, if needed, they were on the slightly loud side. I used one and just put a towel under it so that it didn't vibrate as much against the window frame (which helped reduce the noise a little. I think it also needed a new filter but that happens occasionally.) If you're looking for a large home in a great quiet area, do not hesitate to consider this home. I believe that the pictures actually undersell the home and don't quite do it justice.

Great 2 bedroom home for a Hyannis vacation!

5 of 5
Our family of 2 adults and 3 children took a chance on this property, since it was brand new on VRBO and had no previous reviews. We were really glad we rented it! The photos don't really do the property justice. The owner has furnished it with nice antiques and art work. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bedrooms were comfortable. Most nights we slept with the windows open, but each room also had a window unit. The master bedroom was nice, with an en suite bath, and small balcony with chairs. The master bed was firm and my husband and I slept very well on it! The second bedroom had 2 twin size beds, plus a rollaway for our smallest daughter. I was originally concerned about mosquitos since this property is right on the estuary, but we did not have any problem with them. My daughter was playing by the water one evening at dusk and she did get a couple of bites, but the rest of us never got bitten, and we ate dinner on the deck most evenings. The view from the house and the deck were really beautiful, again, much prettier than the photos convey. The owner and property manager were very responsive and quickly answered our questions. The property had plenty of beach towels and chairs for our days at the beach. It was a 10 minute walk to the marina, but you will want to drive to main street Hyannis. Great value and fun place to stay!

Beautiful property in lovely Hyannis.

We loved our stay here. We were 2 families, the house was even prettier than the photos. Plenty of space, so you don't feel on top of each other. The garden is large, leading to a good size pond, where you can take out a row boat or kayaks. Outside heated shower very nice for washing off when you came back from the beach, the kids enjoyed playing with the slip and slide..and my personal favorite was the hammock. Val and Scott have stocked the house with everything you might need.....some things I bought from home, like beach chairs and a pack and play, were already here, so my advise would be to check with the owners...if there is something you need, it is probably here. Val and Scott live right next door, so are there if you need them, but otherwise they give you complete privacy..you would never know they were there. From toddlers to teenagers all were happy
