Beautiful, secluded location... Just a few complaints

4 of 5
The best thing about this property? The beautiful view of the lake and the wrap around porch. Absolutely stunning, very peaceful, and a great place to drink your coffee every morning. The next best thing - the owner! Very responsive to all needs. Available via email, text, or phone. Other little nice perks - toys for kids to play with, very clean property, full cable channels, washer and dryer, and plenty of space. Our only complaints - the stairs up to the front door, the stairs down to the basement, and the stairs down to the lake are all very treacherous. I visited with my parents (both in their 60's but still very physically capable), my 2 year old son, and 6 week old daughter. My father actually tripped on the stairs in the front of the house. I would recommend that railing is put in at the front stairway along with some good lighting there. Another issue - the bed in the master bedroom is in desperate need of replacing. It is completely worn, springs constantly popping, definitely the worst bed I've ever slept on :( Really hope the owner gets this remedied - an easy fix that will make a big difference! Last issue - the lake is very murky and full of moss. We were hoping to swim but weren't able to. It's pretty to look at though and would be great if you had a boat! With all of that said, we WILL stay at the property again the next time we visit family in the area. Hoping to see a note by the owner that these little fixes were made first though :)

Family Reunion at the lake

5 of 5
Had a 'cousin' reunion at the lake house over a weekend and were thrilled with our experience at this home! The listing is very accurate.......although the master suite is a work in progress......that didn't take away from how wonderful the house was. There were 8 adults and there was plenty of comfortable sleeping, plenty of facilities with both full bathrooms AND the outside shower. The outside sitting areas were our favorite places to be, whether it was the morning with our coffee or at night enjoying a beer on the deck and having a great fire pit to also enjoy. Dan was extremely accommodating with everything and very easy to work with.....very responsive. We would definitely enjoy this place again for future vacations and/or reunions.

Good place to rent

4 of 5
Good place was clean and well stocked. Alittle disappointment that it was not directly on the lake. Had to walk down a hill to get to the lake. TV didn't work well. I would stay here again. Good Location
