          Wonderful week in Gloucester!

          5 of 5
Firstly, the reservation process was simple and Linda was prompt in answering my all important question - "What type of coffeemaker should I expect?" When we arrived, all was as we'd expected with many thoughtful extras like a beach umbrella and small cooler for the beach. The studio was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and pleasantly decorated with the sights and sounds of the harbor in the background, which just made us want to get out and explore the area! We arrived during the annual Schooner Festival and walked into town our first evening to check it out. The fireworks over the harbor were beautiful. And so began our wonderful week. Linda provided a wealth of information about the area via brochures and her "Favorite Things To Do" list which we brought with us on every outing. Gloucester has a lot of great food - from sandwiches at Virgilio's to sushi at Latitude 43, and much more in between! I have wanted to go on a whale watch for years now, and finally got my wish. Seven Seas whale watch was fabulous. A clean, fast boat and naturalist on board made it an amazing experience. We saw several whales, but most amazing was how close we got to a humpback named Etch-a-Sketch and her calf! I highly recommend A Sunset Serenade. Linda was friendly and helpful, while respecting our privacy. We were relaxed and comfortable in her studio and Gloucester had much more to offer than we had expected! We hope to return, since there was no way to see and do all in one week.

If you're looking for Charming and Intimate in a great location, this place is PERFECT!

My husband and I came out for a fall-time wedding in mid-October and we're SOOO glad we decided to stay at this quaint little studio apartment. We prefer to stay at vacation rentals when we can as opposed to hotels so we can plan our own meals and get a "true" feel for the area we're visiting. The studio had everything we needed for our 4 night stay... wi-fi, well stocked kitchen, bathroom with ample hot water, T.V. (with dvd's and vhs tapes), games and more. The studio was very quiet (we slept well), and the owner is very kind offering an abundance of warmth, and hospitality. If we ever venture back to the area we would definitely stay here again. We couldn't have been happier with our decision! T+T...from San Diego area, California

          Amazing Location, Great Vacation!

Sometimes 'harbor view' means standing on tiptoe straining to look out the attic window -- not so with this amazing house! The dining room offers one of the most spectacular views of the ocean that I've ever seen in a house that wasn't on TV, and it's not even the only room with such a view. The master bedroom is a perfect romantic oasis with almost a dozen windows overlooking the ocean -- the sunsets and sunrises seen through these windows are incomparable. The master bedroom also has a great little private deck to suit afternoon naps. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed (two ovens!), and the linens and towels were soft and comfortable. There was even a linen service arranged so we didn't have to wash our sheets and towels at the end of our stay. There's a laundry room upstairs, with the master bed and two other bedrooms, and with another bedroom downstairs and the bedroom and bathroom in the attached apartment, there's plenty of room of everyone. It's a very short walk (less than half a mile) to the beach, and about a mile walk to the Gloucester downtown area with a library, post office, and many quaint shops and restaurants. Gloucester is a great town in the summer -- music from the Stage Fort Park concert series wafts through the windows in the summer, and in June there's the St. Peter's Fiesta with a carnival downtown (in walking distance) and many other festivities. I had an amazing experience in this house and would stay here again anytime. From being able to spread out and relax throughout the house, to trips to the beach and downtown Gloucester, this setting makes for a great vacation. If nothing else, I'd come back just for the views!
