Secluded Gem

5 of 5
This is one of those very special places that you're hesitant to write about because you don't want the secret to get out. Aquinnah is a beautiful part of Martha's Vineyard, and Anne and Andy's spot is truly magical. It's located on a dirt road, near the Western tip of the island, surrounded by trees, with a commanding view of the Sound - I can't imagine a better location. The house itself is simple in the best possible meaning of that word. It has a classic beach house feel, and is more spacious than the pictures imply. I could go on about the lovely house, the spectacular location and the gracious owners, but you get the idea. Just go, and be prepared to feel sorry for everyone in the world who isn't you.

Perfect Aquinnah Beach House

5 of 5
My husband, daughter and I had the most amazing stay at this vacation home. Fabulous views and incredibly convenient beach access. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! We were delighted to discover that the owner, Barbara Dourmashkin, has released a children's book called "Peggy Day's Martha's Vineyard Adventure" - it's a precious book with wonderful drawings and we read it to our toddler every night at bedtime. We ended up buying a few copies at the Bunch of Grapes book store in Vineyard Haven. There are a couple Martha's Vineyard themed children's books out there, but this one is the best!

Perfection

5 of 5
My three-night stay at Adam's "House in the Dunes" could not have been more perfect. Stunning location, exquisitely furnished home, access to some of the most spectacular places on the Vineyard. A full 180 degree view of the horizon provided majestic vistas from sunrise to sunset. I would be thrilled to return to this place!
