outstanding rental home and location

5 of 5
I've been fortunate to have traveled the US and rented many homes. This home is by far the most comfortable. It's more of a "personal" than a rental home. All the conveniences of home are available within. Plenty of dishes, flatware, kitchen equipment, etc. The rooms are nicely furnished and very comfortable. Plenty of seating at the Dining table and Living/TV room. The house was very clean upon arrival as well. I could tell the house is well cared for. Additionally, the homeowners could not have been more accommodating. Very easy transaction before, during and after renting. Prior to arrival, I was also emailed a welcome pdf outlining the house, location and island amenities. I've traveled to Martha's Vineyard approximately twice a year for the past 8 years and Edgartown is my favorite township to stay. This house was extremely convenient to walking downtown yet not within the main traffic area. It was very quiet and peaceful. No noise of morning work-trucks coming and going. Perhaps the best part is the back yard with a very generous dining table and grill area. Almost every morning was spent with coffee on the terrace. Definitely recommend this house. Thanks for a great week!

Serene and Private House on Edgartown Great Pond

5 of 5
We had a family reunion at this lovely property on Edgartown Great Pond. It is a magical and serene setting. I sat on the dock each morning and watched the swans and geese and a playful group of otters. The pond is warm and perfect for swimming. We rented a motor boat and some of us went each day to the quiet Atlantic beach. Others easily biked into Edgartown (or up island) for restaurants and shopping. The house is spacious and comfortable with large deck areas. I especially appreciated the owner's beautiful taste--very interesting art and rugs. The kitchen had everything we could want for making family dinners. The adjacent guest house is simple and comfortable, and also tastefully appointed. The owner was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. We loved this property and would very much like to return next summer.

We've found our favorite Vineyard place!

5 of 5
We pulled into the driveway and were instantly impressed. The house, decks and yard are all beautiful. The kids jumped out of the car and were running around to each room to check them out – they decided right then and there that this was where they wanted to come from now on – can I just say that my kids are 23, 19 and 16? They were as excited as they were when they were 13, 9 and 6! There is so much living space! This house is a perfect house for two groups/families as the rooms are spacious and separate. The kitchen has everything you need. The coffee table in front of the fireplace became the game table for the kids. The dining room is totally comfy and the living room is wall to wall windows and is beautiful. The main area, the dining room and the living room each have a slider to the connected decks off the back of the house – each with relaxing seating, each just a little different. The yard was spacious enough for the boys to pick up a little soccer game. The adirondak chairs next to the waterfall were a peaceful place to relax and have a glass of wine. The house is centrally located between the three towns – Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven – all of which are about a 10 minute ride away. The bus stop is right at the corner; the 16 year olds used it to go wherever they wanted with ease. The bike trail is right there also. The most awesome place we discovered this year was Edgartown Meat & Fish! They have THE BEST bagels and pastries, HUGE egg sandwiches, freshly made sushi, pre-marinated meats and fish – you can even watch them carve the meats behind the counter. All in all it was a WONDERFUL vacation and we will definitely be coming back from now on. Thanks Paul!
