The Perfect Little Cottage!

5 of 5
For me and my wife, this past August was our first trip to Martha's Vineyard We were looking for a last minute getaway, and were very lucky to stay at this quaint cottage. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has its own secluded walkway off of a private wooded road. It was very clean, well maintained and had all the amenities of home. We were a little nervous not having a vehicle on the island, but that wasn't a problem. The cottage is within walking distance to downtown Edgartown which has a ton of shops, restaurants, book stores, beaches and so much more. We rented bicycles during our stay and used them when we needed to travel longer distances. It was a pleasure meeting both Lynne and Rich, as well. They provided us with many sightseeing tips and recommendations, such as "Espresso Love" (a small coffee shop that we frequented). We highly recommend this cottage to anyone that plans on visiting the island. We look forward to coming back very soon! Damon & Stephanie P

Quaint lovely cottage on the Vineyard

5 of 5
Our family was scheduled to go to Ghana this past August on a medical volunteer trip. At the very last minute, we were forced to cancel because of impending worries about the Ebola outbreak. Disappointed, we decided to try to search the internet to help make it up to our children. As if it were meant to be, after a quick and hopeful internet search, we happened to stumble upon the listing for this cottage. The listing appeared to have had a last minute cancellation during the exact week that we were already scheduled off for. We immediately contacted the owner of the posting. Marcia was most accommodating in helping us to expedite the process, and before we knew it we were set to arrive at the cottage on the beautiful Martha's Vineyard within the next few days. The stay was simply wonderful. The location was ideal, the beaches were an easy bike ride away, and the nearest towns were easily accessible as well. Because of our last minute trip, we were not able to secure a reservation on the ferry to bring our car. However, this was not at all a problem because the cottage was fully furnished with anything we could possibly need. This included beach chairs, a fully supplied kitchen, linens, and a laundry machine. The outside accommodations included a hammock, an outdoor shower, and a lovely porch complete with a glass patio table and grill. Everything was impeccably clean. We are delighted to think that we could return to this lovely cottage again for summers to come as a family, creating special memories.

Great location for home base on Martha's Vineyard

4 of 5
Sue's house is a terrific place for both getting around MV and just hanging out. The house is just off a bike path that goes straight into Edgartown. It's about 4.5 miles - so a great destination for a morning coffee and muffin. The house has an assortment of bedrooms and lots of bathrooms/powder room plus an outdoor shower. The kitchen is very well-equipped to accommodate a large group. We were four couples in town for a wedding - emptynesters all. The main rooms were big enough for the whole group but enough ancillary rooms to allow some to read or play a game. We would definitely consider it for a return visit.
