Charming and cozy cottage, great value!

5 of 5
We stayed here for just under a week this August. Glyn was very accommodating, as we needed to arrive on a Sunday rather than a Saturday. The cottage is located right off of a main road, but it's set in a little community of other cottages that's very peaceful. We stayed in the Honeymooner (Cottage #6), which matched the description perfectly. There are lots of cute decorations, but the decor isn't overwhelming. Everything was very clean, and there were lots of hooks everywhere to hang clothing, hats, bags, etc. We loved reading on the hammock, and the outdoor shower was refreshing (there's an indoor shower, too - you can run both at the same time with plenty of hot water). There's also a picnic table, chairs, and a small charcoal grill for cooking. We almost didn't want to leave the cottage some days, as we were having an excellent time lounging around and reading. This cottage is right over the Eastham line and is very close to shopping/restaurants in Orleans. It's also not far from the Wellfleet Drive-In/Flea Market (and a delicious restaurant called Karoo). Of course, it's also near the beaches: First Encounter, Coast Guard Beach, and Nauset Beach. We parked at the Salt Pond Visitor's Center and biked out to Coast Guard Beach; a more enthusiastic cyclist could certainly pick up the rail trail at the cottage and ride the whole way. The only downside was that the sink water tasted pretty metallic. We were fine with using bottled water for drinking, but just thought that tip might be helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay at an excellent price! We would highly recommend staying at this property.

A nature lover's oasis!

5 of 5
The cottage had everything we wanted for a simple, summer vacation. A very clean, comfortable cottage and deck. The pond offered a quiet oasis where we kayaked, swam, and watched the birds and insects, and a bonus fire pit. We were very close to the bike trail and to the National Seashore. Cindy and Jon checked in with us at the beginning of the week to see if we needed anything. What more can you ask for? We were there for two weeks and definitely could have stayed longer.

Very modern home in an excellent location

4 of 5
We were 3 adults and 2 children (7yo and 21 month old). We have stayed at many different homes in Eastham and were very impressed by the condition of this one. Nice hardwood floors throughout, comfortable couches (1 that reclines), spacious bedrooms and big screen TV. Just to elaborate quickly on the TV... bring a laptop, connect to the WIFI and plug into the TV via HDMI (supplied). You're on vacation but there's no reason you can't still watch movies or shows on Netflix (especially if you bring the kids). The location is perfect. Across the street is a convenience store if you need to grab eggs, milk or a bottle of wine. Marconi beach is 3 minutes away and we were less than 10 from First Encounter beach on the bay side. While we were right on Rte 6 the noise from traffic is pretty minimal. Since we were coming from a city it was quiet by comparison. Overall great stay. My wife and I would definitely come back to this house. All the amenities we were looking for at a great price. Don't hesitate to book this one.
