This was our second stay at Thirst Inn. As you can see by my previous review in 2012, we found this to be the PERFECT home for a fantastic Cape Cod family vacation. Upon our return this year, we found some nice surprises which made an already perfect property, even more special! My favorite addition is the outdoor shower! What better way to start a day than showering under a beautiful Cape Cod sky or end the day by showering under the glorious starlit night sky! Ahhhhhh, take me back! I hope that some photos are added to the listing to show this very tastefully constructed shower located conveniently off the guest house near the pool. If you prefer to shower indoors, you can choose from the nicely decorated bathroom in the guest house or the beautifully renovated bathroom in the main house If rains falls during your vacation, no worries! The owners have also renovated their basement! Although the aforementioned ping pong table is no longer there, a tv, video game console, carpeted floor, large open space and huge bean bags chairs all create a great hang out for the younger set! Of course this space is also tastefully decorated with lovely art! Upstairs, a Smart tv has been installed for your viewing pleasure and wireless internet connects to a large screen Mac desktop as well as all of your own devices. If your idea of a vacation is getting away from the screens you will find many choices of comfy spaces to snuggle up w/a good book! The central a/c, gas fireplace and whole house dehumidifier provide comfort whatever the weather! Since I gave 5 stars on my last review...with all these wonderful improvements, I now require 6 to describe this paradise in Eastham!

                  A great place to stay

                  5 of 5
Jennifer (the owner) was great to work with in making our arrangements. We stayed for two weeks and had friends join us for a few days here and there. Everyone loved it. We especially appreciated being able to have our dog with us on vacation, and the wheelchair accessibility of the home. The location is ideal - in a quiet neighborhood, with easy access to the bike trail, Boat Meadow beach (which was never crowded - always interesting - and has fantastic sunsets), and all of the fun and conveniences in Orleans Center: mini golf, Stop & Shop and Target (for stuff we forgot), restaurants (loved The Lost Dog restaurant), kayak & SUP rentals at Goose Hummock. Our family likes Nauset Beach - but it's also easy to get to the National Seashore beaches. We also enjoyed a sunset sail on the Blue Lady II out of Province Town... (again, appreciating the central location of this house making it reasonable to drive to P-Town for the evening.) The porch is definitely the best feature of the house. We spent most of our time there, until it got humid during the last few days before the tropical storm blew in. Then it was nice having the air conditioning and fans indoors. The house is relatively up to date, with plenty of space to accommodate 10 people comfortably without feeling like we were stumbling around each other. We had a good time using the fire pit for making s'mores... so nice to have a convenient wood supply to do that. The outdoor shower was also a great experience... (and good for getting rid of sand after a day at the beach). We left with a lot of good memories.

                  Great family cape vacation

                  5 of 5
I've stayed on the cape since the 80s but now live in Oregon. We came here last year, toddler in tow, and it was exactly right. Bedroom and bath downstairs allows for privacy and good separation of space. Lovely quiet, wooded backyard. Everything you need, including air conditioning for bedrooms--came in handy a couple of nights! Very helpful owner.
