My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home last summer. It was in an ideal location, close to the Rail Trail, Salt Pond Visitors Center, Coast Guard Beach, and central to all of our favorite mid- and outer Cape places.
The layout of the home was great for us (three adult couples, one toddler), and there was plenty of room for dining, lounging, and even playing board games (in the 2nd floor rec area with picture window). Lots of natural light throughout the home, large windows with views of Ministers Pond, private wooded setting, large deck, and ample sloping yard with fire pit. All just as pictured here.
We especially appreciated the homeowners' generosity and thoughtful touches, with use of the kayak on the pond, plus the paper and cleaning supplies that were available to us, along with the kiddie toys, games, books, and puzzles.
The only very minor drawbacks we found were the size of the kitchen (compact and somewhat dated), access to the home (deeply rutted shared dirt drive...non-SUV drivers and bicyclists take heed!), and the fact that the second floor master bedroom had an en suite HALF bath, with access to a shower (and vanity and additional toilet) at the other end of the floor (in a Jack-and-Jill-type bathroom setup with the twin bedroom that had a full bath with jetted tub, but no shower...shower was the "shared" part between the two baths). As three couples, each was hoping for its own private bath; we know this can be scarce, and this home came very close! These things didn't really detract from our enjoyment.
Overall, this house and its location, size, layout, and amenities were an exceptional value for our "shoulder season" family vacation, and we'd highly recommend it to others!
