Nice house, nice price!

4 of 5
Overall, we had an excellent stay at this cute Eastham home. It was clean inside, comfortable and served us well. The pluses: Clean home, plenty of room for two, lots of kitchen counter space, nice refrigerator and stove, great TV options (Dish), free wi-fi when we asked, owners were very flexible with making sure we got into the house and out (they live next door), plenty of pillows, clean bathroom, nice porch, plenty of parking space, washer and dryer right in the home, nice dressers and night stands, plenty of lights throughout the house, fans, AC in the window. The price is also nice. The minuses: The futon couch is not comfy, the twin bed mattress was a bit old feeling and not level, the pots and pans are pretty old, the hot water heater was on the small side and we had to stagger our showers, the house is really close to route 6 which is great for getting out and about, but you can hear the road clearly, especially on porch. If you are a cyclist, keep in mind that route 6 is really busy most of the time and getting to the great bicycle path would not be easy. We loved going to the National Seashore beaches which are a 10 minute ride. There are several close bay side beaches as well, but we didn't make it to them. We loved several restaurants nearby, including Van Rensselaer's and Bocce in Wellefleet and Box Lunch and Cookes Seafood in Eastham. Overall, we would stay here again and would recommend this to a friend.

Great vacation house

5 of 5
If you like light, it doesn't really get better than this - we woke up each day to sunshine streaming in to all of the rooms. The house is large, with soaring ceilings in the living room, an open floor plan and lots of room on three levels for spreading out. At the same time, it's very homey - not like one of those places you start to feel lost in. Lots of pretty details, an ample kitchen and two spacious bathrooms. A nice yard, and two great decks, including an area that's covered for shade. Located on a pretty street, a short walk down the road from a beautiful beach. And a two minute drive from the village of Orleans, which has lots of great shops and restaurants. All in all, a lovely house for a Cape Cod vacation. Would highly recommend, and will return when our schedules permit.
