Loved it!

5 of 5
We had such a nice time at Warren Cove! We enjoyed a fun week at the beach with no stress and no Cape traffic! Plenty of room for our family of 4, plus plenty of outdoor seating to have friends over for dinner and AC upstairs! Friendly neighbors and a lovely private beach at low tide, with stairs providing easy access to a perfect beach getaway. Rental team was fantastic to deal with -- very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Lovely New England home

5 of 5
This is a lovely home on the North Shore, only a few minutes from the charming town of Manchester. The house was clean and well maintained. There is an eat-in kitchen with everything you need for cooking and serving meals. The kitchen table is in a bay window area overlooking the back garden area with chairs and a banquette covered in a country French print. The lovely living room has arrangements of comfortable armchairs and couches covered in floral chintz with a door opening to the back patio. There is also a beautiful wood-paneled library with comfortable seating around a large flat screen TV and a dining room that seats ten or so people. The upstairs bedrooms sleep 8 comfortably and are well furnished with good linens and plenty of towels. The house is set on a long, curving driveway with a lot of land in front of and behind the house, where our son could practice his soccer. We really enjoyed the town of Manchester, which has several restaurants (The Landing was our favorite) and one of the best beaches around (Singing Beach). (White and Black beaches are also close by, and we enjoyed late afternoon walks there.) Gloucester and Rockport are very close, and we enjoyed having dinner in Gloucester and visiting the many artist areas in both towns, as well as Halibut Point State Park in Rockport. Crane's Beach is about a twenty minute drive, and we spent a day there. It's one of the most spectacular beaches we've been to. (You have to pay to park and it gets crowded on nice days, so it's best to get there on the early side.) The house is also close to the town of Essex, which is known for its many antique stores, as well as Woodman's, the best place for lobster and fried seafood in the area. (Best not to go during the busiest times, as the line can get quite long. We discovered that you can order take out and then go pick it up.) The house, with its back patio, spacious lawn, and proximity to beaches, is great for the summer, but it's also a cozy house with several fireplaces and a library that would seem to be perfect for fall and winter rentals as well. We intend to go back when we visit the area again.

Wonderful Rental!

5 of 5
What a wonderful house this is! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time at this rental. The listing is accurate. Communication with the owners was easy with all information and expectations provided upfront. I would recommend paying for linen and towel service. Much easier than bringing them. Plus there is also a washer and dryer. The views from this house are spectacular. Ocean as far as you can see! The main living room of the house is where we spent most of our time. Watching boats pass by and just enjoying the ocean view. It is all sliding glass doors with screens, which we opened everyday to let in the cool ocean breeze. This main room also has a large ceiling fan. Even on hot days it was cool and pleasant throughout the house. The kitchen was full service, although we only cooked breakfast there. There is a great seafood place right down the road from the house - Rock Bottom Seafood. Their fried lobster and fish and chips were so good. Actually, everything we tried was excellent! We ate there at least 4 or 5 times during our stay. Also next to Rock Bottom is Shaw's grocery store. We bought everything we needed there. It is an easy drive to many great restaurants. We also went into Plymouth and shopped and ate out. One place I think everyone should visit is the Sandwich Glass Museum. It was only $8 admission and so interesting and quirky. The examples of glass made there are so beautiful and there is also a glassblowing demo. We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We spent about two days down on the beach. There were chairs and everything you could need for use on the beach. The caution about the stairs is accurate, you really have to take it slow to be safe. The same can be said for the rocks at the bottom of the stairs. Use caution. Go slow. It is a bit challenging to get to the beach. Once there we had a nice time walking in the water, scouting for sea glass, and just lounging. The house had wireless internet and cable. Both worked great. We brought a laptop and also connected our cell phones to the Wi-Fi. Our vacation at this house was such a nice time! I hope to return again in the future!
