Wonderful vacation!connection to nature&family

5 of 5
My extended family rented the cottage to celebrate my father's 75th birthday. Although the number of bedrooms and baths was known upon reserving, we were pleasantly surprised with the size and spaciousness of the property. The home is much larger than it appears from the photos. Similarly, the view is far superior than that seen in the photos. It is spectacular! The lot is private with plenty of room to explore and for kids to play. We were very pleased with the home, the view, and the location. The porches are cozy and peaceful and were a natural gathering place each morning. The home was stocked beyond expectations. We were not in need/want of anything kitchen related or otherwise. The owners were very easy going and accomodating! They were responsive and informative when contacted prior to our visit. The property is within two miles of the town center of Duxbury and less than two miles from Powder Point Bridge and the big beach. The neighborhood is quaint and folks friendly. I would highly recommend this home for a relaxing vacation or family/friend gathering. It's a bit on the rustic side but moreso with regard to charm and character than comfort level and amenities. The place was great, the energy was great, everyone had an amazing time. We ranged in age from 5 years of age to 75 and all had a great time! We fished, canoed, kayaked, walked, lounged, sat, cooked, read - a bit of everything. There's something for everyone here - in the house, provided outdoors on site, and in town and the area. The markets are convenient, the bakery is amazing, I really have only positive comments - no problems or disappointments whatsoever. Thanks so much to Allyn and Sarah for your hospitality and kindness! It is so appreciated.

What a fantastic home!!!!

My family and I REALLY enjoyed our stay in Duxbury at this property. It is beautifully decorated and immaculately maintained. The owners retained the Victorian charm when they remodelled and included every modern amenity. The location is great - walking distance to everything - restaurants, shops, ice cream, and most importantly... the beach. The owner is an excellent host - we felt very welcome.
