Terrific Cape Cod weekend getaway!

4 of 5
Our 3 generational family had a wonderful weekend getaway in mid-Oct 2014 in Dennis Port. The condo, steps from the beach, was especially valuable to us as our 90/92 year-old parents were our honored guests, and the accessibility made the whole trip possible. We loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs watching the the sound and enjoying the perfect weather, and my sister a near-professional chef, admired the well-equipped kitchen. The location made it easy for trips to either end of the Cape. We plan to do it again!

Great place to stay!!

This is a fantastic place to stay. Thank you for shareing your home with us. Great yard and quiet street. Loved watching all the birds and sitting on the porch outside. Ample space inside also. It is centrally located to all aspects of the Cape! Thanks so much!!

We Loved It!!!!

5 of 5
We would have given 4.75 stars had it been an option. As such, the property and the owners were too nice for us to give “only” 4 stars. Here are the 3 things we were less than happy with: The listing clearly says Hot Tub/Jacuzzi but it is not available. It was a hot week when we went but the option to take a late night dip was not an option for some reason. I assumed the past complaints about this from past reviews were outdated since our contract had all kinds of references to the spa. The Wifi was terrible. I planned on doing some work when I had a chance but that wasn’t really possible. For some reason I was getting a strong signal but it kept dropping every few minutes and sometimes just wouldn’t connect at all. The owners are very nice people, but getting the contracts and confirmation was way more of a hassle than it should have been. All minor but we felt worth mentioning. Now on to the good stuff! The place was spotless and everything was seemingly new. Nicely furnished, decorated, and we had everything we needed. I did notice that there isn’t a clothes iron in the room but we were fortunate enough not to need one. The bed was very comfy. The furniture was adequate for the two of us. We ran into Allison when we got there and mentioned we forgot beach chairs and they miraculously appeared for us minutes later. She told us to let her know if we needed anything at all but we never did. The location worked out perfectly for us. It is in a really nice part of Dennisport. We were able to travel all over the Cape and go wherever we wanted without a long drive due to the central location. The best part of the location though has got to be the Ocean House which is basically next door. Between the restaurant and the café they run, the best breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the entire Cape is merely steps away. The food and the views are 2nd to none. The beach is private as advertised and well maintained. We had plenty of space to ourselves when we wanted privacy yet there were some nice folks there to chat with as well. The water was much warmer and cleaner than the Long Island Sound where we live. As far as we were concerned this beach was as good as it gets aside from being somewhere tropical. The property actually has what looks like a great pool that has fallen into a state of disrepair. If ever fixed this place would have it all. All in all it was a wonderful place to spend the week and well worth the price we paid.
