TRULY A "HOME AWAY" FROM HOME

5 of 5
Our family of three rented this house for our first trip to Cape Cod, last week. The house was very clean, well decorated, and so comfortable that it didn't take long to feel at home. It looks exactly like the photos...there were no surprises. We were not on the beach, but only a short drive away from beach and even closer to a CCRT bike trail parking lot. After driving through town, I appreciated that we were not in the congested area of cottages closer to the beach. We would arrive "home" after a day's excursion of biking or exploring beaches to peace and quiet, a large backyard, and firepit for smores. We had neighbors in the smaller cottage behind the property but, with the privacy fence, never even heard them. I enjoy cooking and given that the house was so well stocked, we only ate out a few times. There were plenty of staples, including spices, sugar, coffee and filters, tea, cooking spray, olive oil, plenty of cookware and grilling utensils! The collection of DVDs was an added bonus. In addition, the shed was also fully stocked with beach chairs, lacrosse sticks, footballs, frisbees, bikes, beach caddy, life vests... everything you'd need or want. We biked close to 50 miles on CCRT, Old Colony, and Shining Sea trails, enjoyed the West Dennis Beach, Annie's and Sundae School for ice cream, and the Wee Packet restaurant...nice thick chowdah! Dennisport is not as commercialized as some of the other towns, which was perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay in Cape Cod and were very pleased with this property and Melisa's attention to detail. She was quick to respond to questions before and during our trip.

GREAT DENNISPORT VACATION

5 of 5
My husband, daughter, son-in-law and 3 year old granddaughter stayed for a week in this charming cape cod cottage on Polly Fisk Lane. The home is well maintained and the layout was conducive for the five of us to live in our home away from home for our stay. The owner, Meg, was very helpful with good customer service. We were blessed with wonderful sunny weather until Friday, when Hurricane Arthur came up the coast as we left a day early. While we could walk to the Glendon Beach..we purchased a week pass and tried the West Dennis and Mayflower Beach. All were beautiful. We enjoyed great breakfasts and the Wee Packet and the Picadilly Café. Had delicious dinner at Swan River Restaurant. One night we ordered our lobsters cooked "to go" from Swan River Seafood and purchased Captain Parkers clam chowder from the one stop deli down the street and enjoyed an evening meal on the deck of the cottage. Our granddaughter loved the playground nearby and of course we had several stops at the Sundae School for homemade ice cream. We made use of the gas grill provided to barbeque a couple of nights. Pete rented a bike and went on some scenic rides around Dennisport. Some evenings we enjoyed the central air and watched Wimbledon and Red Sox games on tv. We thoroughly enjoyed this cottage and look forward to renting again next year and we would definitely recommend to friends and family. Pete and Judy Buckley

PERFECT FOR OUR CAPE COD STAY

5 of 5
We are a mature couple visiting Cape Cod for the first time. The cottage is conveniently placed for visiting all of the Cape attractions. It is also walking distance to stores and restaurants - with Viera, Buckie's Biscotti, and the Antique Centre worth a mention. The house is spotlessly clean, prettily decorated and very comfortable. The yard is large, private, and perfect for relaxing with a book and glass of wine. It has all the equipment needed for a family vacation - and more! The owner Melisa is friendly and extremely helpful. She reponds promptly to any queries and provides clear instructions. I can't thank her enough for her effort and creativity to return my camera to me after I left it at the cottage! Would definitely recommend.
