My best friend is getting married and instead of the usual "vegas-style bachelorette party" we were just looking for a cute cape house in close proximity to the beach, and I couldn't be happier we stumbled upon this place.
Laurie, the owner of the house, was fantastic. She was great with answering all my questions and was so helpful when we had 5 cars and only 4 spaces in the driveway. When we arrived at the house we were greeted with a dining room table stocked with snacks, waters, wine and a whole basket full of brochures, flyers, takeout menus, etc., which was so nice of her!
The house itself was perfect. The kitchen has been recently remodeled and is beautiful, my only complaint is there wasn't a lot of cabinets for food storage but there were a couple small closets that worked in a pinch! The dining room/ living room area is open-concept and perfect for people with large groups/families. One of the bedrooms had a half bathroom and a couple others had just a sink, which was pretty helpful in the morning for brushing your teeth, washing your face, etc.
The backyard is a bit small, just a patio with a couple tables and a grill, but there's a side yard that's great for running around/playing games. The house is in a great location, directly across the street is a hotel with a Tiki Bar overlooking the beach (they have amazing sushi and frozen mudslides!!!) The public entrance to the beach is only a 2 minute walk. The Improper Bostonian, which is a Cape Cod staple, is also within walking distance. In addition to some other restaurants and shops there's also a Rite Aid, 7-11, liquor store and Ocean State Job Lot within a 5 minute drive from the house, which is perfect for any last minute things you forgot.
All-in-all I would highly recommend this house, the location and the owners!!
