Perfect property for a diverse family gathering.

4 of 5
The house was absolutely perfect for our family grouping, we actually had an empty bedroom left over. The family with the youngsters stayed above the garage, that worked perfectly, especially in the later evenings. One night we had guests and used all 14 seats at the dining room table, great fun and great party. My only complaint was the floors were dirty, gritty, sandy, and had not been swept by the previous guests. There were shards of broken glass under and around the refrigerator. I am sure we left the house in better condition than when we arrived. Other than a broom, it would help to have a better vacuum device around to suck up sand and to clean the floors. Maybe a Shark type vacuum with a canister that can be quickly emptied. Otherwise, we loved the location, the privacy, and accommodations of the house, great family vacation.

Didn't want to leave the house!

We usually stay in Dennis village, close to Mayflower beach and it's long low tides, sand bars and warm water so this fit the bill. Easily close enough to dump everyone at the beach, drive back to house and ride a bike back to the beach to avoid parking at the busy parking lot. The house is quite large and fully equipped and the pool was a great option for after the beach. Very private back yard abutting a farm with a rooster who likes to crow in the afternoon, right about when I like to crow :). The furniture was very family friendly and comfy, the kitchen was very well equipped, a large formal DR as well as an eat in kitchen and patio dining all available. As usual, we were beached out bt Weds. so we never left the house. Just parked by the pool which is sun filled all day and cooked out. Left the house once for some necessities (beer, wine and ice cream) and ate dinner outside. There are many options for beaches. We biked on the rail trail to Lecounts Hollow from Orleans one day. Drove 25 minutes to first encounter beack in Eastham one day off 6A. Went to Craigville beach on arrival day to kill some time before check in. If you are looking for location and all the comforts of home and thensome, this is your place.
