Charming & Cozy cottage in beautiful Chatham

5 of 5
This lovely cottage is the perfect size for our family of 4. Two bedrooms - one for my wife and I with one bed and the other room had two beds for the kids. A big skylight window allows the sun to shine through beautifully over the kitchen, living room and dining area. The cottage is always clean and offers a stove, oven, fridge, microwave and cable TV. There is also a deck in the back - a perfect place for breakfast to start the day or hanging out after dinner as well as a picnic table and patio in front with a charcoal grill. The beach is a one minute drive down the street or a beautiful 10 minute walk which we always did admiring the scenery and charming homes along the way. The beach is rarely crowded and the water is generally calm. There is plenty of room to take walks along the beach as well. The cottage location is perfect - a short ride to charming Chatham center which boasts many quaint stores to shop, movie theater, great dining and a wharf where you can watch fishermen bring in their fresh catches of the day. There are tennis courts, golf and baseball - Chatham is home to one of the Cape Cod League teams - the Anglers - where you can see great baseball action up close and personal at no cost. With the centralized location of Chatham, you can take a half hour ride to the end of the Cape in Provincetown or head in the other direction and check out the activities in Hyannis and the towns in between. Our family has rented this cottage for over 10 years for our one week family vacation and our kids, now teenagers, still want to come here every year. We love the area and the coziness of the cottage. The owner is always reachable with any questions or problems and will respond promptly. Every year, the owner makes some upgrade to the property like new appliances, windows, doors, etc. so the cottage is well maintained. We would recommend this property as a perfect getaway to the Cape and lovely Chatham!

Great time at the beautiful Windmill!!!

5 of 5
Great Vacation is if you stay at nice, quiet, relaxing place with a beautiful views! That is exactly what we had in the small Windmill house. We planned our vacation last minute and were very fortunes to be able book this rustic house. It located in residential quiet neighborhood about 10 min from downtown Chatham. We asked for dates from Saturday to Sunday which is unusual dates for house rental. But the owner Tsedale was very accommodating because it was at the end of the season. She gave us all necessary information about house and some links for to do activities. When we arrived we just loved the location and house with Beautiful view on the Crown bay. We rented a kayak and discover small islands in the area. Private beach, swing chair under the tree. I did so many beautiful pictures. Every night we would have fire in the fire pit and enjoy beautiful stars, glass of wine, marshmallows and chocolate made our nights unforgettable. We would love to come back for another vacation. Defiantly recommend. Charles & Natalya

A Cozy Cape Cod Cottage

5 of 5
I just spent a wonderful few days in this very sweet quintessential Cape Cod cottage. I was vacationing with a very dear friend whom I've known since junior high school (many years ago). The cottage was cozy and comfortable for long conversations, cooking adventures, and private time writing and reading. It was ideal for us for just plain relaxing! However, it would also be spacious enough for a larger, active family. We immediately liked the cottage upon walking in. The decor is nautical and instantly inviting. The natural lighting, even in the overcast winter skies of January, was lovely. It was immaculately clean. The ambient temperature in the cottage was very toasty even though the outside temperature had dropped into the low teens and the wind was howling. The three bedrooms were decorated very nicely and with refreshingly minimal stuff. Each was comfortable and exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable, each nicely made with what looked and felt like new linens. The bathroom was also perfectly clean with enough space to store one's toiletries (especially including the small closet just outside the bathroom). The kitchen was equipped well for our needs and the owner has immediate plans to add to the utensils and serving dishes that are there. (We were just the second renters so the new owner really wanted feedback as to how to fully equip the kitchen for vacation families.) The sun room was warm and inviting even on the cold winter days we were there. In the summer, I would be out there every day! Other notable amenities would be the outdoor shower and barbecue. For families with children, a big plus would be its location on a quiet cul-de-sac with lots of space for playing outdoors. There are several puzzles and the owner has plans to add games and DVDs. The cottage is very well located--a moment's walk to a small organic grocery store and a very short drive to a larger grocery store, a drug store, and the center of Chatham, where there are many restaurants and appealing shops. The beaches are also just a short drive away. Finally, the owner is very responsive, flexible, and accommodating. Both my friend and I would definitely recommend the cottage and we would love to come back...again in the winter as well as in the summer!
