Perfect lake getaway

5 of 5
This was the perfect lake getaway for a girls weekend. We enjoyed waking up every morning and having our breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake (actually every meal was enjoyed on the deck!). We also took advantage of the canoe and kayaks to explore Wymans Pond. The firepit area was perfect for the chilly evenings and there was plenty of firewood to keep it going for as long as we felt necessary. Rebecca and Brendan are wonderful hosts that will make sure your stay is perfect. I would definitely come back again!

Big City Living In... the Country - We Loved It Here!!

5 of 5
First and foremost, you could not ask for a more accommodating, generous, and kind host. I would liken the client service to a white glove Michelin Star restaurant. The staff seems to appear when you need them but never is intrusive. Tom is simply first class. The home is expansive. HUGE. But, the spirit of family that permeates the home with all its knick knacks and family photos makes it feel extremely cozy. Personally, I love to cook. Whole Foods is a quick and easy drive up the street. Literally, 4.4 miles. And there kitchen is every chef's dream. It has the space (the kitchen is larger then most NYC apartments) and is fully stocked with all anyone needs to make a scrumptious gourmet meal. Once the meal is complete you can enjoy it on the deck overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds. The Harvard Square like atmosphere is a short walk from the home. The people in the community are helpful, and genuinely kind. It was surprising to discover so many varied restaurants that cater to the farm-to-table cuisine my wife and I demand as part of our whole plant nutritional lifestyle. We missed nothing in this little community. Frankly, there was a moment we considered staying for good. We will be back again, and again. I would highly recommend a visit. Tom will leave the lights on for you!!

Very Relaxing

5 of 5
I stayed at Kim and Chris's home for two weeks in July with my wife and daughters (13 and 8) and we had a wonderful time. Kim was very flexible with our check in time, and also very responsive to us. The house was spotlessly clean and well-stocked with amenities and condiments. There was a well-equipped kitchen and barbecue grill which made it easy for us to feed relatives that dropped in from time to time. Wifi and a landline telephone were provided. There was plenty of space on the deck and the lawn to spread out and enjoy the great views and to enjoy the lake itself, which was very clean and weed-free. Even at its busiest on a hot Sunday in July, the lake was very quiet with only the occasional waterski boat passing by. There were almost no fishermen on the lake, which was surprising because I caught the biggest bass I've ever seen here (4lbs plus). The owners kindly made a nice canoe and two kayaks, a swimming platform, as well as PFD's, fishing poles, and assorted other water toys, available to us, which we enjoyed immensely. The neighbors were very kind and overlooked the squeals of joy coming from my children playing in the water. Parking is somewhat limited and there is no ability for renters to put a boat on the water, but the owners were upfront about this situation from the beginning and there were no surprises. Our security deposit was promptly returned, along with an item that i had forgotten at the house when we checked out. I highly recommend this rental to families with children/teens who are looking to enjoy some fun times together.
