Amazing Lakehouse!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay at Heron House and did not want to leave! The house was actually bigger than we expected, which was awesome! Property is well maintained both inside and out. Plenty of activities on hand for family fun plus lots to do solo if you wish to relax in the serene surroundings of Wyman Pond. (There were even yoga mats available for some sun salutes on the deck!) Our kids enjoyed swimming in the lake for hours in addition to kayaking, canoeing, horseshoes, yard games and just good old fashioned exploring around the pond. We even got an afternoon visit from an ice cream truck right at the front gate! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the property is private. Owners were super helpful and accommodating with any questions / concerns before during and after our stay. We are totally planning our next family trip around availability of Heron House. Highly recommended by 2 former New Englanders now living in Los Angeles, nostalgic for the good old days! Thanks for a great stay!!! We can't wait to come back :) Rebecca, Keith, Emerson & Samira

Big City Living In... the Country - We Loved It Here!!

5 of 5
First and foremost, you could not ask for a more accommodating, generous, and kind host. I would liken the client service to a white glove Michelin Star restaurant. The staff seems to appear when you need them but never is intrusive. Tom is simply first class. The home is expansive. HUGE. But, the spirit of family that permeates the home with all its knick knacks and family photos makes it feel extremely cozy. Personally, I love to cook. Whole Foods is a quick and easy drive up the street. Literally, 4.4 miles. And there kitchen is every chef's dream. It has the space (the kitchen is larger then most NYC apartments) and is fully stocked with all anyone needs to make a scrumptious gourmet meal. Once the meal is complete you can enjoy it on the deck overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds. The Harvard Square like atmosphere is a short walk from the home. The people in the community are helpful, and genuinely kind. It was surprising to discover so many varied restaurants that cater to the farm-to-table cuisine my wife and I demand as part of our whole plant nutritional lifestyle. We missed nothing in this little community. Frankly, there was a moment we considered staying for good. We will be back again, and again. I would highly recommend a visit. Tom will leave the lights on for you!!
