My writing group rented Sarah's Haven for a week of workshopping manuscripts and to visit literary places in MA. We found the house charming and comfortable, with plenty of mod cons and rooms, a lovely yard where we worked outside at times and a large indoor table, too. On those days we went for visits, we were perfectly central between Amherst and Concord, roughly an hour in each direction, for day trips out to literary haunts. A wonderful home with a ton of history and loving charm oozing from its pores. The house was hand built by Nelson Phipps for his wife Sarah and their children and its a bounty of wood hewn from the land, organization and storage. We would highly recommend this with its large yard for any large gathering.
