Great rental experience! We were a group of three moms and seven homeschooled kids (age 9-14) who used the place for the last week in September. It was plenty of space and accommodated our group very nicely. This home was very well-maintained and very well-equipped, and Alex (the owner) was exceptionally responsive to both e-mail and phone. The owners clearly put a lot of effort into making sure that the home is clean and comfortable and well-supplied. I could have packed half of what I took if I had realized how many different things would be provided by the owners: full soap dispensers, dish/dishwasher/laundry detergent, wax paper/foil/plastic wrap, basic condiments and cooking ingredients, beach chairs, sand toys (and boogie boards I think, although we brought our own) - the list could go on and on. The gas grill is large and there was a full spare tank of propane available. And there was a ton of brochures and magazines about the area on the tables in the living room. The owners are clearly committed to giving guests a great experience, start to finish.
Just some extra info on the layout of the place ... Upstairs is the very large master bedroom with king bed which has great windows looking out to the water. The upstairs bathroom is off the hallway (not off the bedroom). Also upstairs is a bedroom with three twins. Downstairs, off the dining room, is the queen bedroom and the bedroom with two twins. The fifth bedroom is immediately inside the door to the deck/parking area; it has a full-size futon that fits quite snugly into half of the room. The dining room table is very large and easily sat 10. The WiFi was reasonable, although we had to reset the modem several times.
Other things that might be helpful to know ... We didn't realize that Sea View Beach and the surrounding area is know for being very calm (i.e., no waves). But I guess the Cape (except maybe out on the National Seashore areas) isn't known for great waves. But we had the whole beach area completely to ourselves, and the kids had a great time playing in the sand (pretty good for building). We also enjoyed walking the full length of the beach from river to river; as another reviewer noted, there is even a little playground area less than a five-minute walk down the beach (or road). Also, it's worth noting that in just a ten minute drive, you can be to the start of the Cape Cod Rail Trail (and a bike rental place) or the Swan Pond River (and a kayak rental place).
