GREAT VACATION AS USUAL!

5 of 5
We have been coming to the Upwind for many years now and are never disappointed. The cottage is well equipped with all the comforts of home, and we thoroughly enjoy our time here. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for both eating and drinking including a wine fridge and glasses. The views from the upper deck, especially at sunset should not be missed. Whether we eat out at the local restaurants like The Lobster Boat or Captain Parkers or go to the local fish market and get steamers and lobsters to cook at home, we always enjoy the food. Taking in a Cape Cod League ballgame is always on our agenda as well as a whale watch out of P-town. We would highly recommend staying here. We are already planning on returning next year!

"ALL IN THE FAMILY"

5 of 5
Trying to get our family together for vacation time is tougher than ever. Now a family of 10 with son-in-laws and grandchildren Jeanette's home was the perfect venue. We were able to take FULL advantage of all the amenities. The Great kitchen, the patio, the grill, the bikes and the beach passes. We felt very much at home especially with Jeanette's attentiveness and attention to details. Great home ...thanks again for sharing your family home with us.

GREAT LOCATION AND LOTS OF ROOM

5 of 5
We stayed at Lost Oak cottage for two weeks this summer. We returned because of its many special features. What's unique is that it was historically the station master's home, hence its location at the very start of the scenic Cape Cod Rail (bike) Trail via a short path through the woods. It is also a few minutes from our favorite beach, Marconi Beach, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and has good waves for surfers. It is also in easy walking distance of a general store, package store, the wonderful Blue Willow bakery and the French bakery and bistro, which is unusual for Cape Cod, and is very convenient. The rooftop deck is a special treat, with beautiful views of the marsh and the birds. It's a great place to tan or enjoy a meal or a drink. This house has a lovely and spacious master bedroom with a walk in closet and a door to the deck. There is also a screened porch. The house provides very pleasant and attractive furnishings, while at the same time being a comfortable house for children and young people. The basement room with the four beds (two twins and a set of bunk beds) is great for teens and twenty somethings because there is also a separate sitting area, TV, table and chairs, and full bathroom on that level, so they can have a private "apartment." The owners are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and have thoughtfully provided many amenities. It is also cool that the cottage runs on solar power.
