Beacon Hill Condo Review

5 of 5
The condo and owners were absolutely excellent. We enjoyed the shopping, restaurants and public transit that were minutes from the front door. My family were in town for Marathon Monday and this was a perfect location. Unfortunately, my wife had a rainy day to run but we'd recommend this condo with the highest regard!

Beautiful Spot in Beacon Hill

5 of 5
This is a charming, cozy apartment just around the corner from Charles Street in Beacon Hill. It reminded me of an apartment in Paris off of Rue St. Germain. Iconic views of historic Beacon Hill and the Massachusetts State House. We did not get an opportunity to enjoy the roof deck- still too much snow from the winter. Seating was comfortable. It had plentiful natural light and high ceilings. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in. The bedrooms and bath are on the third floor. A very large, modern shower and bath which also accommodated the laundry. Caroline, the owner, was a delight to work with...very responsive and helpful. She promptly replied to all inquiries. The deposit was returned promptly. As she did point out, this is a steep walk up to a second & 3rd floor so it may not be for everyone. Her descriptions/photographs of the property are quite accurate. There are many dining options (and boutique shopping options) within walking distance. The Boston Common and Public Garden are within 2 blocks. If you are a walker, you can easily walk to Newberry Street, Copley Square, Faniuel Hall and the North End. Easy access to the T (subway) and plentiful cabs. There are specialty grocery and liquor stores within a very short walk, the Whole Foods is .6 mi. and Star Market 1 mile away. Parking is very tight, streets are narrow and traffic flow makes no sense-avoid a car if you can. There are parking garages in the area if needed but call ahead to check availability.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location

5 of 5
It's hard to explain just how wonderful the location of this Beacon Hill apartment is. The neighborhood is beyond charming and so close to everything--we walked everywhere in this beautiful city. Bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants, T-stops, and small grocery stores are all less than a five-minute walk from the apartment, and there's a larger Whole Foods only a 10-minute walk away. The apartment itself is lovely, comfortable, and immaculate. Our dealings with the owner were terrific--she responded promptly to all e-mails, graciously answered all questions, dealt with a small maintenance issue that popped up while we were there immediately, and refunded our security deposit promptly. The only unfortunate thing about this apartment is that we had to leave it. Living in this apartment and in this neighborhood made us want to move to Boston!
