We loved it!

5 of 5
This is the perfect location to launch walking tours of the Freedom Trail, or you can simply hop on a bus at either corner and head straight for downtown. This quiet residential area is minutes away from most attractions. We walked to the Naval yard and Bunker Hill Monument, and several times walked into downtown. We were close to delightful local restaurants. My husband walked each morning to the Grasshopper Cafe for amazing breakfasts, and we dined at the Warren Tavern (built circa 1780) and twice at Paolo's Trattoria. Whole Foods and CVS are a short walk away. Keep in mind Whole Foods will delivery your first order, so you can stock up and not schlep it home. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen and bathrooms modern. Dawn was so gracious. The only drawback I see is for anyone with problems climbing stairs. There's a steep climb to the main floor, and another for the bedrooms. Except for this, I give this apartment and location two thumbs up!

Exactly the Quaint Little Spot You're Looking For

5 of 5
This charming little rental was exACTly the Boston experience we were looking for. It's in the heart of a quaint and quiet residential neighborhood, not far from everything. Tons of trees for a little taste of the New England fall you hope to catch, and within a short Uber ride of Cambridge, the North End and Quincy Market districts. There's also the most charming little breakfast joint right there in the neighborhood, where the corned beef hash isn't on the menu, but if you ask...they've got it! We caught a local outdoor bizarre at the church down the road from the breakfast place on our last morning with tons of antique finds. Wish we'd had more room in our luggage to bring back a few things! The duplex is very clean with plenty of fresh towels. The water runs nice and hot and the heater keeps the place as cozy as you like. The kitchen is fully furnished and tea and coffee are provided - a nice touch. The master is comfy, and though the second bedroom is tight with a set of bunk beds and a separate single, all-in-all it's a great place to lay your head. The owners live next door, and are the most charming little family you ever did meet. There was a storm the night we arrived that took down a huge branch of their Norway Maple out back and a phone line with it. Nothing major, but the sweet couple brought us gifts the next morning in appreciation for dealing with stepping over the single phone line cord on the ground. The next morning over coffee, we got to watch the owner break down the giant branch into a nice firewood pile for a bit. I may be a nerd about it, but coming from Austin, TX where the only wood you pretty much ever need is for the grill out back, I thought this was so cool. He even gave me a cross cut of the tree to take home as a souvenir. I currently have a friend here at home who's a furniture builder and woodworker customizing and finishing the piece for me! This visit was truly like staying with family. We would stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone.

Exactly as pictured!

Beautiful apartment, perfect for our needs. Two couples travelling and spending 4 days in Boston. Close to transit, approx 20 minute train ride to downtown. Great little shops within walking distance. Quiet home and neighbourhood, parking on street was great, always found a place to park. Definitely on our list of "will return to" when planning another trip to Boston.
