This my umpteenth time staying at Colesbrook Manor. I always enjoy myself and feel so at home there with the bubbling brook and the sunlight and the moonlight and the quiet. I have been there alone, with friends and as a couple. In all cases , it was very enjoyable and relaxing. It is a great place to hang out and cook meals together and play scrabble and take walks and go to the many venues in the nearby Berkshires … outdoor activities, Jacob’s Pillow for dance , Tanglewood for music and many museums. This time we even ventured up to North Adams to the Mass MOCA ( Museum of Contemporary Art). Colesbrook is quite the place to act as a wonderful base for exploring the area or simply enjoying the house and surroundings. And they are unique as I think of the place as a hand-made house where you can feel the energy of the earth and the people who built it as well as nature all around.
It is a rustic setting and a get away from a lot of the hurry and busyness of the modern world in an authentic way. I recommend staying at Colebrook as a place to re-connect with the earth, the arts and each other. I look forward to my next stay as do all of the friends who have ever visited there with me. Happy Berkshires !
