Super, fantastic, excellent, loved it!

5 of 5
We had a fantastic stay at the beautiful cabin. It was very comfortable and spacious. Loved all the animals and the scenery. The chickens were very hospitable and sat with us in the mornings and evenings while we enjoyed coffee. The mules and the mini were spoiled by us - we bought lots of apples, celery and carrots for them. Ike and Buster fought like brothers for attention and veggies. Brown and Midnight were a little more shy but eventually we earned their trust. fresh blueberries from the backyard were so tasty. Laura and her family were very kind - I wish I had them as neighbors!

A perfect hiker and biker getaway

5 of 5
We rent a lot of homes within the DC area and this home has by far been the best we've ever rented. We loved the quiet location and close proximity to the C&O canal towpath, Antietam, Shepherdstown and Harpers Ferry. The local hike and bike trails are phenomenal for outdoor enthusiasts and walking on the towpath is great in summer because of the dense tree cover providing shade. We didn't even mind the lack of internet and cell access because it felt good to be disconnected for a change. FYI, Verizon never works well within the West Virginia area and probably will be hard to change. The house was immaculate and extremely well-stocked, and that's even allowing for doggie guests which is fantastic for us. Our dog loved the access to the river at Snyder's Landing (so will kids). Our favorite place to eat with dogs was Blue Moon Cafe in Shepherdstown which allow dogs on their beautiful garden patio. We loved it and will be back in the spring to see the river without the leaves. Thank you, Catherine and David.
