Perfect getaway filled with warmth and hospitality

5 of 5
My sister is getting married this winter so a few of the bridesmaids and I planned a getaway weekend for her. It was the everything we hoped for - a nice relaxing weekend with the girls to unwind and get away from the stresses of life and wedding planning. The hideaway was beautiful and so comfortable inside and the neighborhood was so friendly we really felt at home. One of the many great things about the property is the proximity to the bay. It was awesome to sit outside on the patio in the morning and be able to see the water and listen to the waves. The beaches were so close to the house and I couldn't believe how warm the bay water was! We didn't do a whole lot while we were there - mostly just hung out on the beaches and on the water (I couldn't believe how warm the bay water was!) but everywhere we went we were welcomed with so much hospitality! We ate at Jerry's place the first day and since we had never been there, our server brought out samples for us to try some of their more popular menu options. It was the best restaurant service I have ever experienced that wasn't a white glove restaurant. We went to a wine tasting at Perigeaux Vineyards and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and give us the most fantastic fun experience. They recommended we go to Stoney's for dinner (only about 15 min from the winery) where we, again, had an awesome server who we became quick friends with. Overall, it was the best vacation we could have wished for. Nobody wanted to leave. We will definitely be back!

Spacious yet charming-all we hoped for and more

5 of 5
We selected this home for our 28th family reunion and were not at all disappointed – everything promised in the posting was there (and more), well maintained, and clean. I can’t imagine what I would have added to make our weekend more comfortable and accommodating – everything we could possibly need or want was right there. The layout of the home and deck is perfect for sitting in groups to talk or play games, or you can spread out and have some solitude to read or just relax. I loved that I could be with my family yet not feel like we were on top of each other all weekend. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining room table is big enough to accommodate seating for a large family. Our family ranged in age from 27 to 90 and this home suited everyone. The wireless internet access was a must for the 27 year old, the extensive cable channel listings were a must for the sports fans who needed to see the baseball playoffs, hockey and football, and my 90 year old mother actually bowled with the Wii. A short stroll down the street would take you to the beach area and I enjoyed jogging through the quiet neighborhood and surrounding area. There are restaurants and grocery stores just a short drive away. The owner was attentive, professional yet friendly, and accessible. I highly recommend this property if you want to feel confident that your vacation will be nothing less than wonderful.
