Just perfect

5 of 5
Loved loved loved this property. The seclusion was amazing. Hearing about the history of the land and building from the owner was really neat. I would love to go again to see it in the fall. It was very relaxing and within reach of all things in about 20min. My only 2 cents.. verizon does not work there. That was a tough lesson to learn as I use it for hiking maps/gps. I went hiking without a physical map thinking I would just wing it. I made it back....with extra miles...I can live with that. Next time I will bring my compass or print maps before I leave. The other joy was the off road riding. The park roads are great fun, if you do not mind wondering where you come out... or unexpected dead ends. The house-amazing, the land-awesome, the area- wow! Everything an outdoor enthusiast would enjoy. It was better then camping. There were no people... it was great! The owner made it very easy as I was a last minute stay. I truly appreciate owners like that! I tend to wing things... ie hiking without maps, untraveled roads. Thank you for a great new place to stay!

Couldn't Ask for MOre

We loved this cabin. Very well kept, clean and comfortable. Really nice, quiet and private. Doris was great to work with, it was our first time renting thru homeaway so she allieviated any concerns we had. Great visit to Deep Creek and great skiing. We will be booking again for this summer so we can get the feel for the lake.

Absolutely Wonderful

5 of 5
Our entire getaway was beyond words. The area is beautiful, the cabin was clean, well stocked and smelled like fall. The chickens and mules were an added bonus. The hot tub was perfection, a wonderful way to relax on a cold October night. It's quiet, and peaceful. The water had a very metallic/iron smell, which is why we took literally 2 minutes in the shower, but I am guessing it is well water and it's been in place for many many years. That didn't ruin our time though, maybe if it was a week long stay, but for a short weekend, you don't really need a long-hot shower unless you are doing a lot of hiking, swimming, sweating, etc. No other issues at all, and I wouldn't really call that a major issue. I would come back to this place in a heartbeat. We plan on returning and would recommend this place to anyone. We have already told so many people about it already.
