Adventurous Acommodations

4 of 5
We had a wonderful time in Baltimore and staying on a houseboat added to the adventures. There were 4 adults and 2 college students (adults too) in our group. Each of us had beds and there was room to hang out together in the evening. One thing I did not expect was the rocking of the boat throughout the evening. It wasn't a problem, and was soothing as we laid down to sleep. I was worried that we'd be cold but the boat heated up nicely. Donovan, the caretaker, met us when we arrived and had the boat warm and inviting. He was helpful giving up tips for the boat and downtown area. The location is ideal. We walked downtown in minutes and had a plethora of restaurants, shops, and coffee houses to choose from. We ate dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant downtown that was marvelous. Others staying on houseboats (visitors like us and locals that live there) were very friendly. The only downside was the mattress for the pull out couch. It was awful and made sleeping very difficult and uncomfortable. There was a blow up mattress available but it was a single not a double. The mattress in the state room was exceptional! So much so that our friends plan to buy one for themselves. I would recommend this house boat and the company to others, in fact, I already have. It was very affordable, comfortable, warm, in a great location (parking was abundant at the marina - thank you), and a different experience for a weekend visit.

Great Experience!

5 of 5
We had a lovely time aboard the Scorpius. It is located in a great area that has lots of options for food and nightlife. The boat is open and clean. The interior is and furnishing are very nice and it has a cozy feel to it. The marina where it is docked is quiet and well maintained. Sleep afloat was very easy to book with, extended our stay with no problem twice, and very responsive. We had a very positive experience, and I will happily recommend everyone I know to stay with sleep afloat!

Awesome Boat Vacation

5 of 5
We stayed on the Aries last weekend with my wife, son and friends from New England. We had an awesome time touring Baltimore and the Aries was an awesome host! This was the first time that we have all ever stayed on a houseboat and it may not be the last. The accommodations were very comfortable! I was very pleasantly surprised how big the living space really was. For six people, we were very comfortable. The best part of the boat has to be the roof top deck. We enjoyed our morning coffee and afternoon libations on the deck while watching the boats in the harbor. True relaxation. The boat is very conveniently located at the BMC marina in Canton. There was a grocery store conveniently located close by, as well as several restaurants. The water taxi is just a short walk and we used it everyday to get to the Inner Harbor and Fort McHenry. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Aries and will definitely plan to stay again the next time we are in Baltimore.
