                  LOVELY STAY

                  5 of 5
You will not be disappointed with your stay at Gayle and Chip's beautiful waterfront home. The property is very modern and well maintained with a beautiful deck overlooking the bay. The kitchen had everything you would need and an outdoor grill as well. There was also plenty of bedrooms for those with larger families and three mooring buoys that work great for our 23' boat. Also, the owners could not have been more helpful throughout every step of the process. Great time, will definitely be returning in the future.

OUR STAY AT LITTLE RIVER ROAD

                  5 of 5
We stayed at Little River Road the weekend of September 20. The house was immaculate, and the view of the river spectacular! We were 5 girlfriends, gathering for a reunion from 3 different states. We stayed in the upstairs apartment, and with the two balconies there was more than enough room for all of us to roam. There were also more than enough Adirondack chairs for all of us to sit by the shoreline to chat and admire the sail and sports boats going by. It was really quiet and peaceful, something we all needed! The water lapping on the shore was as relaxing as a massage. Anything you could ever need is provided - washer/dryer, iron/ironing board, full-size fridge, microwave, pots, plates, utensils, comfortable beds and bedding, tvs, stereo, books and binoculars (lots of bird sightings). Much more comfortable than a hotel. On Saturday evening we had a great seafood meal at Woody's in North East, a 10-15 minute drive. Sunday morning was Waffle House takeout which we ate at a picnic table on the balcony facing the river. My friends and I had such a great time we are thinking of making our gathering here a yearly event! But after seeing the moonlight shining on the water on a calm Saturday night, I think my husband and I will be back much sooner for a romantic weekend:)

RENT THIS FOR PEACE AND QUIET AND SUN

                  4 of 5
If you're looking for a quality, spacious vacation home to rent, this is for you. We had two families in this house and our four children (ages 14, 11, 10, 6) absolutely loved it. The small nooks in the top of the lighthouse were excellent sleeping areas for them. The house has almost everything you need short of internet. Thanks to Deb for adding the gas grill prior to our arrival. We used it all the time. Having the beach a few steps away was great. Don't be mistaken, the house does not have exclusive rights to the beach. The beach is for the whole private community of Red Point. Also when we were there, there wasn't much being done to clear the beach of the daily seaweed, sticks etc. I think they swept the beach and boat launch on Friday. But we made do with no problem. Because wasn't much cleaning, we opted for water sandals for the few sticks and stones in the water. With that in mind we used the beach 4 or more hours a day every day. Also we couldn't find more than 2 or 3 other people using the beach Monday through Thursday. In fact we shared the shore with more hawks than people. It turns out that Red Point and the village of North East are more of a weekend vacation area. Which leads me to the next point. If you want a lot of excitement, nightlife, amusement parks, stuff like that, you may want to look elsewhere. That's not to say you can't get good food at a local restaurant. We have a few good meals in town. The village also has a few gift shops, etc. But it isn't a tourist trap by any means. In short the pluses are an awesome house, beach 30 feet away, a quiet non tourist town, state park 5 minutes away, fishing off the dock and unbelievable sunsets. The only non perfect part of this was the beach wasn't cleaned on a daily basis. It was still very useable and should not deter you if you want a wonderful quiet vacation.
