Great Value, nice place to stay to visit Washington D.C.

4 of 5
My husband & I took our 3 teenage boys to Washington D.C. for the first time & this place fit our needs perfectly. Everyone had a place to sleep & there was no waiting in line for the bathroom. The apartment was very clean & well stocked with all the necessities. The neighborhood was very quiet, but a little too far from the metro to feel safe walking after dark. We ended up driving to the metro station & paying the $4.50 to park for the day. The shopping center across the street really does have everything you need from groceries to autoparts. We never needed to contact the owners. The instructions they provided were very clear & easy to follow. My boys loved that they could spread out & I liked the ability to make a meal to save money & do laundry (which I did). My only complaint would be the bed in the master bedroom is too soft, but this could just be my preference. To me it felt saggy, but my husband was fine. Either way, my guys are already asking to come back!

Great Apartment in Bethesda

5 of 5
This was a wonderful place to stay. Roomy for a family with full kitchen and laundry. I stayed 4 nights and it worked perfectly for us....especially the Christmas cookies provided by the hosts. The DC area is notorious for traffic....this is in quiet neighborhood yet only about 8 miles from the White House. The apartment was spotless!!! This is a very important requirement for me. I would never recommend a place that is not perfectly clean.

Beautiful just outside DC

5 of 5
This was our first trip to DC as a family. We decided to stay at Wyndham National Harbor Resort because of the kitchen and second bathroom...both a must when traveling with 3 boys. The suite was large enough that we weren't tripping over each other the entire stay. Our friends (with 2 children) were staying at another nearby luxury hotel and really could have used some of the extra space we had. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to make breakfast daily, pack lunches, and even prepare dinner. I would suggest grocery shopping before getting to National Harbor. The only grocery store is convenient to walk to but very overpriced. One of my favorite things was the complimentary shuttle that took us to/from the DC Metro station. The shuttle stop was a short walk from the resort and ran pretty much all day. This saved us from having to drive into DC or pay a cab/bus fee. We parked our car in the garage and didn't drive it until we left to come home. The only thing I was really disappointed in was the linen situation in the resort. 1) The sofa bed did not have sheets or a blanket. When we called to request those items we were given sheets that were too small to fit and no blanket. 2) We had 5 people staying in the room for 6 days and the towels/washcloths could only be exchanged once. Any exchange after that we would be charged. 3) When we visited the pool we tried to locate towels and none of the staff seemed to know where to find pool towels. Overall, I would recommend this property to others.
