Great March Break trip location

5 of 5
We were very happy when we arrived at the Wyndham National Harbor Resort. We were travelling with our 4 children (ages 9-17) and had been upgraded to a 3 bedroom suite, which had 3 bathrooms. Huge dining room table enabled us to eat in each day and significantly reduce what we would have spent otherwise. The space was beautiful and had everything that we could want in the kitchen. The kids loved the pool, with the exception of the one day when we were unable to get pool towels despite speaking with several staff members. Parking at the lot across the street was easy even in our full sized pickup truck. The concierge advised us that parking downtown Washington would be cheaper than the Metro for 6 of us and gave a the location of an easily accessible, safe parking lot. We were able to enjoy the sights of Washington and several of the Smithsonian museums. The little grocery store/market kitty corner to the resort was very upscale ($$$). I would recommend the Safeway which was not to far of a drive away for groceries.

Great Apartment in Bethesda

5 of 5
This was a wonderful place to stay. Roomy for a family with full kitchen and laundry. I stayed 4 nights and it worked perfectly for us....especially the Christmas cookies provided by the hosts. The DC area is notorious for traffic....this is in quiet neighborhood yet only about 8 miles from the White House. The apartment was spotless!!! This is a very important requirement for me. I would never recommend a place that is not perfectly clean.

PEACEFUL NEST!

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful vintage, rustic log home! It was so peaceful, impeccably clean, spacious and beautiful! We really enjoyed the natural vintage beauty of the cabin, including the very cool wooden ceilings, glossy log wood interior and unique fireplace. It was a wonderful, quiet retreat we really needed, enjoyed and appreciated. It has both heat, central and easy to set up wireless. Our small doggies really enjoyed the cabin as well! The home was part of a neighborhood, but felt very private, excluded and a safe, restful retreat. Even with our many walks near the cabin with our doggies, we only saw 1 lady gardening, two fisherman and a dog walker. We were also pleased to find everything we needed in the hallway closets, etc. There was also lots of storage to include a “mud room”, outdoor seating, table, gas grill and so much more! We did see one beautiful deer about a block from the cabin. There were a number of birds that you would hear singing in the morning to welcome in a new beautiful day. We used the home as a base for general relaxation and also to participate in commencement ceremonies at University of Maryland. It was an easy 35 minute drive to the U. of MD campus. There was a book in the cabin that listed local points of interests, restaurants, etc. including a supermarket, gas station, Burger King and others. There was a short list of light cleaning chores to do upon checkout which took about 15 minutes and which was nothing outside the norm that would be done to show respect to the home owners. We received our security deposit back within 48 hours which was also very appreciated. We predominately communicated with the seller via email. She sent us the address and access code to lockbox several weeks before our visit. She called us the day of our arrival and checked to see if there was anything we needed which was very nice of her! We had a personal situation back home that shortened the end of visit, which the owner was very supportive and accommodating regarding this. She has since checked in with us a couple of times to check up on us which was really appreciated. Again, we immensely enjoyed our visit to this beautiful classic, vintage log home! Looking for peace and quiet, rest and relaxation in a vintage log home? Look no further – don’t miss this one! Absolutely lovely, classic vintage, rustic beauty you have to see in person to truly appreciate! Wonderful, compassionate owners, wonderful to deal with!
