Fantastic Home away from Home

5 of 5
From the moment we arrived I knew I made the right choice in renting this home. Both Mark and Russ are very welcoming, friendly and respectful of their guests. The home is simply beautiful and efficient for anything you may need. The house was clean, the beds were awesome, the kitchen was very well supplied with anything your could possibly need. The home is very well decorated with interesting furniture and artwork. You know you are in a classy home the moment you enter, but it feels very comfortable. We had a birthday celebration at the home with local guests. Everyone was so impressed and loved the idea to rent this home for their own future needs of a small gathering place where they could stay overnight too (ex. rehearsal dinner gatherings, small weddings, family reunions etc).. The owners were open to multiple uses, which was wonderful and just what we needed. The owners stay on the premises which I loved because they were a stone's throw away when I had questions... and I did! I was sorry we were there in the cold winter because the grounds are amazing and the landscaping is superb, but we couldn't utilize it... just another reason to return! The multiple outdoor porches have wonderful views of the water among the trees. There is a road down the hill but you don't even notice it because you are up on a hill above the cars passing by. I would sit there for hours on a summers evening. The stores and restaurants are close by but you need a car in this area to get around. You are so close to the city but you feel you are far away in the country on a private hill top in your own retreat house. I certainly would recommend this house to others and all ready have! The price was well deserved for the quality of the home. My only regret in giving a great review is that it may not be available when want it again!! I hope to get to spend time at this home again, have long talks with Mark and Russ and share Doritos IN THE BAG!!...(personal joke with the owners). I'm sorry we didn't get to say goodbye before we left and thank you for a fabulous time in your home!

Incredible

5 of 5
Best vacation my fiancée and I have had in a long time. Getting away from Utah, spending time together, not wasting money on an hotel room... Was a great call. Would recommend this place to any and everyone who wants to come to the area. Everything is in walking distance and people were great. Honestly the only negative was parking but part of the experience.

Property stay

5 of 5
this property was not what it was listed as. In the original listing stated two full baths and there was only one and a half. The half bath was in the basement . The original description did not indicate there were three floors starting with the basement which contained the kitchen. There were no dish clothes or sponges to wash dishes with so we were using paper towels to clean up with. There was no plug on or near the counter to plug the coffee pot in so we had to search and move the pot to another wall .the filter in the coffee pot had old grounds in it that were moldy and had apparently been there for sometime. There were only three plates so we had to resort to using paper plates. Up a rather narrow flight of stairs was the living room and dining room.than up another flight of tapirs were the bedrooms.there were new lamps in the bedrooms but oly one outlet so we were unable toplug them in as the bed was covering the outlet. We had to move the beds so my husband could plug in his c pap machine which he needs at night. It was a good thing we packed towels from home as there were only two for four people . The neighborhood was very quiet which was plus as we were very busy during the day. The beds were less than comfortable. Overall the property has potential but needs some updates starting with wiring. It also needs to be listed as not for handicap. My husband is slightly handicapped and had difficulty managing the stairs.
