Great wedding week stay in Essex

5 of 5
Our daughter's wedding was being held in Baltimore, and we wanted a non-hotel stay, so we began perusing short-term rental homes. When I found this home, a warm and friendly phone call with Joy confirmed that this was where we wanted to be. The deciding factors, in addition to the lovely owners, were the queen-size beds (too many places want to crowd you into full/doubles!) and the big wide creek outside the back door, complete with boats! Upon arrival, we knew we'd done well. The home was nicely furnished, with great kitchen (an icemaker!) and sufficient bathrooms for our party of four to six. TV's everywhere, although we seldom used them because we were always outside on the decks or headed to parties in Baltimore. Joy and Dale have provided all sorts of supplies and furnishings so you feel like you are in your own home. And the owners are a phone call away if you want to find the nearest grocery store, etc. We used the decks all day, and the hot tub several times, but the boats, alas, went unused because we didn't have time. The home is convenient to the BWI airport, although you could get there from either of the other two area airports. The creek is a recipe for serenity and birdwatching, with chairs and swings available everywhere. We did not use the grills, but they are available. Get a good map because Baltimore's highway systems can be confusing, but we did get everywhere on time, and had so much fun being in a home rather than a hotel. Thanks, Joy and Dale!

Highly Recommended

5 of 5
We reserved Zoya's home for a family reunion, with family members converging in Baltimore from various parts of the world. The home is perfect and met all our needs. Bright and colorful, clean, spacious and very comfortable. After day-long excursions in DC and Atlantic City, it always felt like we were coming home, an experience you will not get at a hotel. We cooked a lot, and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking pots, silverware, linens, serving dishes, etc. New washer and drier in the basement, which allowed us to do laundry while we were there (fyi - we brought our own detergent & bathroom supplies e.g. shower gels, toothpaste). Plenty of bed linens, towels & washcloths were available. Little details, like umbrellas on a rack by the front door, were appreciated. Robert, the property manager, was very gracious and considerate towards us, and made sure we had everything we needed. When we needed an extra cooking pot, wine opener and thermos for hot tea, he lent these to us from his personal kitchen. While we were away for 4 days visiting NYC, Robert took care of pulling out the garbage to the curb on our behalf so we didn't have to worry about missing the pick-up date. Close to Giant Foods, YMCA and children's park, exactly as described. Easy drive to area attractions, Inner Harbor, and close to John Hopkins Uni. Near Lake Montebello for an evening stroll. It is a solid home, built with concrete and as such, very quiet and you will not hear your neighbors. Nice back patio with table and two chairs. Wifi was excellent, as were TV stations. There are more than four channels, and we carried dvds that our nephew could enjoy. We hosted a farewell dinner on our last evening, and the home comfortably accommodated a larger group for one last meal together. Whether traveling solo or with a small group, plan on cooking or eating out, this home will more than adequately provide for your needs. What you use by way of paper towels, foil, trash can liners, etc., simply replenish so the visitor after you can also enjoy. We brought our own disposable plates and cups to limit dishwashing. Zoya maintained great communication from the time we made the reservation and for the duration of our stay. Zoya, we appreciate staying in your home, it is a charm, I highly recommend it, and would rent it again. Your home is in good hands under the care of your property manager, Robert. We also appreciate your referring us to his property for the extra rooms we needed.

Amazing location!!!

David met us at the property and gave us the tour and a wealth of information. He could not have been nicer and extremely easy to reach if we had questions. We were not there for vacation (unfortunately!) we were working at the convention center. His place is located in the heart of Fell's Point which we all fell in love with. Easy walking to endless restaurants, bars, cafe's, and shopping! The house suited our needs - 3 bedrooms. We did not use the kitchen and we basically just slept there. If you are looking for something rather basic but located in an amazing area - this is it!! We felt safe walking around at night and the property had a convenient code entry system. It was clean. The stairs are something we were not used to - spiraling all the way to the 3rd floor. Maybe not suitable for an elderly person. I would stay here again - hopefully next time for vacation.
