Great Girls Weekend

4 of 5
We rented this property for our annual girls weekend and were glad we did. After looking online for a house in or walking distance to Annapolis and being hit by sticker shock for small houses that included no parking, we decided to look further out of town. This house was the perfect get away. The views of the river from just about every room in the house were beautiful, and the large wrap around deck with plenty of seating allowed us to spend just about every waking minute outside. When we wanted to go into town, it was a short cab ride (parking in town is by sheer luck). There is a nice community beach in the development that is walkable, although if you are lugging chairs, coolers, etc I would highly recommend driving the 5 minutes unless you are a mountail climber! There is plenty of parking there. Martin was a real pleasure to work with before, during, and agfter our time at his house. He responded quickly to any questions we had. It was like having two vacations in one. When we wanted the hustle and bustle of town it was a cab ride away, but the relaxing nature of the house and surroundings was the real prize

Great time there

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time at the house this week. The house was beautiful. We enjoyed the fishing, paddle boat and sitting in the gazebo in the evening. Wednesday evening after a brief rain we saw an amazing double rainbow. We were able to catch enough blue crabs to make the time there complete. It was great and we definitely would recommend the house to others. I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this to you but there are holes in the crab pot. We were able to improvise with the stew pot that was there. Thus be able to feast on those tasty crabs. All in all this was a great experience.

Tampa/Bradenton Family of Nine

5 of 5
Our family includes people who range in age from 12 to 77, and every one of us LOVED staying at this beautiful home. The art work thoughout the house is eclectic and interesting, and the library contains books on a wonderfully wide variety of topics. The main living space has glorious views of the harbor and all the yachts and boats that visit or stay here, and the dining room easily accommodates 8 or more hungry individuals. The kitchen, while small, is completely equipped with every efficient appliance, serving piece and cooking gadget imaginable--plus enough china and silver to supply almost any need. The master bedroom is sumptuous, and the other two bedrooms on the second floor are very nicely appointed. The pullout bed in the office, also on the second floor, is an adequate sleeping space with a large closet. Our teenagers relished the bedroom on the third floor, although having the only access to the "crow's nest", with its soothing breezes and delicious views, meant that the rest of us were often trooping through their special hideaway and intruding on their private space! The small garden immediately outside the family room was thoughtfully and artfully designed...a special buffer between the house and the parking pad. One of our party is disabled, and the owner allowed us to rent a hospital bed and put it in the living room for his use. The owner is very quick to respond to any inquiry, and I found her a pleasure to deal with. Annapolis is a charming city, and this home is located in the heart of the historic district. It was an easy 5 minute walk to Main Street, with its vibrant atmosphere and inviting shops, and we also enjoyed strolling through the neighborhood immediately surrounding Duke of Gloucester Street. The historical churches and homes in this area are enchanting. We picked up yummy sandwiches from Carl's Corned Beef and Deli to take onto one of the Watermark cruises (they only serve drinks); the Rams Head Tavern satisfied every appetite; Galway Bay provided us with an Irish Pub atmosphere, and visiting the Annapolis Ice Cream Shop was a nightly experience! Touring the Maryland State House and the Hammond-Harwood House were big hits for the history buffs in our party. The tour of the US Naval Academy was a very meaningful highlight for some of us, and spending the day in Mount Vernon was extra-special for all nine of our party. This house is perfectly located for the vacation of a lifetime.
