The perfect summer vacation spot

5 of 5
Beautiful cottage both inside and out. Spacious, clean and very welcoming. Pond was perfect for swimming, kayaking and fishing. Area is quaint and peaceful. All amenities included. Owners were great to work with and to help plan our last minute vacation. The wrap around porch is stunning. Our family hopes to return for many more summers to come!

Cottage on Lake Christopher

5 of 5
My husband and I vacationed at the cottage the week of July 25th-August 1, 2009. We had a wonderful relaxing stay except for the train that goes right by the back of the property at 12 minight and back again around 4 a.m. It was scary and eery at first night but we got used to it. The cottage has alot of wonderful personal touches. It was beautifully kept up and very clean. We especially enjoyed the enclosed porch on the rainy days, and the beautiful deck overlooking the lake. With so much rain this summer there is no longer a shallow beach area but still refreshing to wade in. We saw two very large snapper turtles close to the dock as well as near the shore in the cove area. The lake is so calm and peacful in the early a.m. and we heard and saw lots of loons on the lake. The loon calls are beautiful at night. We didn't catch any fish in this lake but enjoyed fishing and the canoe. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed this beauiful cottage. Our return to the cottage this year for another 2 week stay was extremely refreshing and relaxing. Watching the parent Loons teach and guide their chick was very intriguing. By the moonlight we watched a bull moose feed right out front in the pond. Each stay at the cottage feels like 'coming home'. It's as if we go away for 50 weeks and come home for 2. Ahhh, if only it could be the other way around!
