Maranacook Lakefront Home Review

5 of 5
This is a splendid lake getaway. Home was immaculate and very welcoming. I especailly love the deck overlooking the lake. It's a great spot to start the day with morning coffee and end the day watching gorgeous sunsets. Love the peace and tranquility and enjoy watching and listening to the loons. Lake is great for kayaking, swimming, tubing, waterskiing or whatever your favorite water activity. Fishing is not my thing but saw many on the lake who were obviously enjoying this sport. Home is located close to town and is convenient to many attractions. Personally, I just enjoy spending my day here at the lake. Home is spacious with plenty of room to entertain guests who also value lake time. I would definitely recommend (and have) this home to friends and relatives..

All I can say is AMAZING

5 of 5
I have had several people ask how my vacation was in Maine, and all I can say was it was AMAZING. The location of the home is perfect, there is nothing you can think of that isn't there for you when you are staying. Enjoyed several evenings watching the sunset while floating in the kayak, and several mornings journaling on the dock. Plenty of room for a large family. A hour and 1/2 to the ocean can't be that, and have the lake as an option. Diane was wonderful making sure all went okay, and we were satisfied. Great hostess

A charming lakeside cottage!

5 of 5
Nancy 's cottage is the perfect lakeside getaway. Lots of comfortable places to sit, read and enjoy the lake. The screened porch is just two steps from the cottage dock and both are wonderful places to sit and watch the world go by. The campfire ring and Adirondack chairs were the perfect spot for nightly marshmallow roasts, overlooking the lake. The fully equipped kitchen and gas grill allowed us to cook in when we felt like it. The spacious bathroom and spa tub made for some lovely baths. And the views of the lake from the living room, eating/family room, screened porch and second floor study are beautiful. And then there were the loons.....we enjoyed a week of loon visits to the dock, loon fishing expeditions up and down the lake in front of us with a new loon chick along for training, and wonderful nighttime and early morning loon calls. A kayak comes with the cottage and our two teenagers spent hours touring the lake and its many islands, fishing poles in hand. Extra bonus -- robust wi-fi good enough for streaming movies and trolling the internet. A wonderful spot and a beautiful cottage! Thank-you, Nancy, for sharing your lovely home.
