PERFECT STAY!

5 of 5
Where do I start? Everything was perfect!! The house: Has everything you need for a great summer vacation. Plenty of amenities, huge bathroom, A/C in the bedrooms with lots of sleeping space and a kitchen with everything you need! The outdoor space is beautiful (as pictured) with lots of options. The lake is refreshing and the dock has stairs for easy access into the water. The gazebo was awesome for rainy nights and nothing was better than having coffee on the deck, over the water in the morning. There is also plenty of entertainment for everyone, between the game room, game consoles, DVD player, music player etc. The house is very clean and well maintained. The is also a place to dock a boat if you want to rent one, which we did and it was very easy. And don't forget the fire pit down by the lake! We loved sitting by the fire listening to the water at night. This home has something for everyone. We have rented quite a few places, but this is one of the very few will would rent again. The owner: Dennis ensures he is always available and genuinely cares if his guests have what they need and are having a wonderful stay. H is very personable, there to greet you when you arrive and when you leave, responded to ALL my emails and texts with answers to all my questions. My little one left behind a pair of shorts, he mailed them to us quickly. There was a little goody basket waiting for us when we arrived, which was a wonderful bonus. You can tell Dennis truly enjoys sharing his home with others, as he should, it is beautiful. I am originally from Maine and decided to make a vacation out of my visit with family, staying here almost made me forget I was back home. Thank you so much Dennis for sharing your home and making our week so relaxing and fun. For those who are not familiar with the area, this home may be on a lake, but it takes less than 10 minutes to get to the grocery store, gas stations or dining establishments. The location is perfect.

ALL I CAN SAY IS AMAZING

5 of 5
I have had several people ask how my vacation was in Maine, and all I can say was it was AMAZING. The location of the home is perfect, there is nothing you can think of that isn't there for you when you are staying. Enjoyed several evenings watching the sunset while floating in the kayak, and several mornings journaling on the dock. Plenty of room for a large family. A hour and 1/2 to the ocean can't be that, and have the lake as an option. Diane was wonderful making sure all went okay, and we were satisfied. Great hostess

GRAND STAY AT A GRAND PLACE!

5 of 5
Step back in time to when places like this were called "cottages". Journey's End offers a combination of old time charm, modern convenience and a truly beautiful and private spot on one of Maine's best lakes. The stone fireplace and panelled library were beautiful signs of the craftsmanship of a bygone era. There's also plenty of space to swallow your whole extended family. Book now!
