Great place to relax over winter holidays

5 of 5
We were in town to visit family, enjoy some quiet time. This was a great location, convenient, well appointed, and great for our family with teens. The home was warm, unusual among Maine winter rental. We loved watching the lake change as the temperature dropped. The only thing missing was a snow storm!!! Thank you Diane for checking on us and answering our questions.

Great fishing location.

5 of 5
Had a great stay for a whole week with 8 guys on a Maine fishing adventure. We booked the cottage well in advance. very easy to communicate with owner. always responded with any questions. She met us there on our arrival to show how everything worked. Very nice rustic place with plenty of room. everyone in our party had their own room. (thank god). Kitchen and dining were the perfect size for a large group. Parking was not an issue, plenty of room for 5 vehicles. Weather was warm for September in Maine but the fish were biting. Check out the lighthouse for fresh fish, lobster, cheese, bread and of course a great collection of local craft beer. we were daily customers and it was less than 5 minutes away. Public boat launch is also less than 5 minutes away. Marina down the street sells fishing licenses. We did give the fish a break and snuck in 9 holes of golf at Cobbossee golf course. Less than 20 Minutes away. Charlene and Terry Checked in with us throughout the week to make sure we didn't need anything and picked up the trash and recycling mid week. They live close so they can tell you anything you want to know about the area.

A Gem of a Home on a Gem of a Lake!

5 of 5
Wow! My husband, kids, and I have rented many homes at the beach and in the mountains over the years, but this one wins first prize. It was so cozy, so immaculate, so nicely furnished and decorated that we felt like we were staying at a friend's home instead of at a vacation rental. It is better "equipped" than my own home in Atlanta --you lack for nothing -- and has very comfortable beds and beautiful linens. There were seven of us staying there during the week, but with the three levels we had so much room and privacy that we never once felt crowded. The large enclosed porch has a breathtaking view at all times of the day, with a pretty lawn and boating equipment right at your fingertips. And Lake Cobbossee has an old and natural beauty, so clean and spacious, not at all overcrowded with boats or people. It is obvious that the owner considers this place a home because it just has that special "feel". We are already planning to return next year and are so appreciative that she has made this place available. This truly is a gem of a home on a gem of a lake! Thank you! Jane Elliott Atlanta, Georgia
