We have been forturate enough to stay in this wonderful cottage, 8 times, in the past 9 years. It is our favorite place to go and relax. The views are breathtaking. The home is comfortable, charming, clean, beautifully decorated with antiques and beachy cottage furniture & decorations. The wildlifeat the house is wonderful, from the Seals on the ledges to the Cormorants, wild Turkeys, Geese, Eagles, Cardinals, Jays and other small birds. We have even had the pleasure of seeing Deer, Beaver & a Porcupine! We especially like to have a fire in the outside pit, during the cocktail hour, watching the Lobstermen hauling in their daily catch. The fresh Lobsters are wonderful! The house is well outfitted with everything you need, especially in the kitchen. There is room for everyone to have some privacy. The sun room off the kitchen is my favorite spot, to just sit and enjoy this quintessential Maine experience!! The owner, Ellen, is wonderful. She responds quickly to all questions and is friendly and kind. Onc you speak to her you wil feel like you have known her forever. We already have 2015 dates booked!

Lots of amenities!!

Every year three couples take a fall trip and this year we chose Maine. Looking on VRBO for a place to stay we found this wonderful very roomy place, from the beginning, Doris was very easy to work with. We got in after dark and was kind of hard to navigate but we found it and was very much surprised to find out how big it was. All the rooms on main floor are very roomy. The next morning we woke up to beautiful views overlooking the inlet. We got to enjoy fall foliage, pumpkin festival, boat ride, lobster dinners cooked at the house, fire in the fire pit on patio, full moon and bottles of wine and beer. The house is well equipped for everything you need, games and books included. All 3 couples agreed this was the most spacious place we have rented in our 20+ years of doing our fall trip. We would definitely recommend it to others. We all wanted to stay an extra week but had to get back. Thanks for sharing your Beautiful Home with us.

This was our first holiday visit to Maine, and we could not have chosen a more perfect rental. The home is even more beautiful and welcoming than advertised and provided the perfect base for exploring all that the mid-coast has to offer. The owners, it seems, have thought of everything. It is clear from the renovations and amenities that great care was taken to help vacationers like us feel completely at home. Details like the availability of a telescope and high quality binoculars let us easily enjoy watching the harbor seals cavort in the water. What a treat. The dock and pier, just a short walk down the hill from the house, proved a terrific venue for picnicking and just hanging out. We made extensive use of the two person kayak provided to explore the coastline. Be sure to keep an eye out as the lobstermen come by to check their traps! Connie was great to deal with. Very responsive in every way. We can't wait for next year!
