Good for families

5 of 5
We were looking for a comfortable place to stay with our five-month-old that was close to trails, views, and towns. The property met those requirements and then some. We enjoyed how well-kept the cabin was. In addition to being tastefully decorated, the bed and bed linens were extremely comfortable -- a key point for new parents running a sleep deficit. We travel frequently and enjoy the small touches that make a place feel like home. The cabin was stocked with family-friendly movies (and one copy of Silence of the Lambs), games, and dry goods, so it felt like we were staying at a friends' house rather than a soulless timeshare or condo. We took our little guy hiking on the Mount Will loop and up to Grafton Notch State Park. Both were enjoyable. North Conway and the Presidentials are a nice day trip away, and Gorham, NH is a fun side trip if you're looking for a little more action than we found in Bethel. (I'm assuming it's shoulder season, too late for river sports and leaf-peeping and too early for skiing.) We'd stay again in a heartbeat if we were in the area.

Ever see a Moose from the deck of your ski house?

5 of 5
Totally worth it! Spent a week there last season with my wife and another couple. First morning a moose was walking up the driveway, first one for a few of us. The house is really clean, and quickly heats up . Plenty of room on the upper floor for a group of people, or a family. Feels like your in the woods, and I could only see one cabin from the house and it was empty all week. Its an easy 5 min drive along the Carabassett River (Beautiful!) from the Sugarloaf access rd. We did head over to Saddleback and Rangeley to ski for a day and it was awesome, a slower pace of life over there. Perfect house to enjoy a week in the woods, (next to two world class ski areas) will be back for sure. Even though it was cold, by far my best week of the season. Great fold down rough cut pine log dining room table!

Perfect Getaway!

5 of 5
This place is truly a "slice of heaven". Perfect for an Autumn escape, the cabin and its amenities were just what we needed to relax and unplug. The pictures definitely don't do this place justice- it's even more beautiful in person. Whether you're looking to cozy up by the fire, settle down with a good book, or have fun on the lake (where I caught my first fish!), this place has something for everyone. The cabin is nestled in a private wooded area and you'll definitely feel the exclusivity, but the convenience of a small seaside town is just minutes away. We had an amazing time and can't wait to come back again soon!
